Please NOTE that this auction, is a SOFT close auction, like 99% of all online auction sites host, with the EXCEPTION of eBay which is a HARD close auction, which is NOT the normal auction. What is the difference? During the last 5 minutes of each lot ending if another bid is placed, then the ending time is extended 5 additional minutes. This can and will happen until bidding halts for 5 minutes and that lot auction closes and is SOLD. Please remember that if we say our auction closes at 4pm, that means Lot 1 starts to close at 4pm and each successive lot begins to close 30 seconds later and so on until all lots end. Here is Google's definition of a soft close auction: A soft close prevents individuals from entering a bid at the very last second before an auction closes with the intent to prevent others from bidding higher. This means that if a bidder enters a bid within the final 5 minutes of the lot's initial closing time, a five-minute extension would be added on.

When placing a bid, it becomes an agreement to purchase that specific item, lot, etc and you are bound to the terms and conditions of this auction as evidenced by your bid.

If you are the winning bidder, you are purchasing the item(s) which you bid on. You agree to pick-up your items on the specified date as shown above. Scheduled pick-up dates, times and locations for this auction is clearly posted within this auction.

Items won by bidding MUST be paid via credit card PRIOR to pickup.

Please do not bid on items you are not planning to purchase. If you bid on an item and you do not pay for the item(s), then you shall BE reported and your bidding privileges will be suspended and we reserve the right to sue you for failure to honor your bid in a court of law.

If you bid, you MUST be available to pick up your purchases on the scheduled pick-up date listed in each auction. All items not picked up will become the property of Exclusive Estate Sales of Maryland and will be forfeited and any payments made shall not be refunded or credited back to you. You agree to these rules by placing a bid.

It is your responsibility to pack and load your merchandise at time of pick-up. Please think ahead as to what you will need. (Tools, boxes, newspaper for fragile items, containers, hand trucks, dollies, etc. for large items.) We do not offer loading assistance.

We make every effort to describe items as accurately as possible and are not always able to list every flaw. There will be typical signs of wear and tear associated with antiques, vintage, and used items. We cannot guarantee electronics and mechanical items.

Auction items are “as is” and “where is”. There are NO REFUNDS or CREDITS on auction items.

All sales are FINAL. Dimensions provided in descriptions are approximate.

A buyers premium of 18% and Maryland sales tax of 6% will be added to all purchases.

Your credit card on file will be preauthorized for $1 at the time of the initial bidding and account set-up. You must consent to this $1 hold which is not a charge. If you are exempt and hold a Maryland tax license, you must present a copy of your Maryland sales tax exemption and fill out a copy of the Maryland sales tax form stating that you are buying these items for resale. This form will be emailed to you and must be returned prior to paying your invoice.

Please remain in line at 6' spacing until an auction manager comes out to you. Masks are required for pick up if you are NOT fully vaccinated.

Arrangements for smaller items to be shipped can be made prior to pick up, but make sure you ask questions before bidding as once the bids end is then the time for paying, not asking questions which should have been asked BEFORE you bid.

For items that are shippable by UPS, we agree to take your items to UPS for them to package for you. You will need to contact the manager at the office which we take it to for you to pay them direct. We will only take your items to UPS after you have paid us for the items you won. You will need to pay a handling fee of $20.00 to us for each lot we take to UPS. We will not ship large items that are breakable such as a set of china, etc. as we cannot be responsible for damage when we transport it to UPS. If in doubt ask us before you bid on an item! If your item(s) require freight delivery, then you must make arrangements and pay the freight company directly and we will meet them at the pickup location at a predetermined time. The charge for this is a flat $100.00 fee which you must prepay via credit card within 24 hours after the auction ends.

ALL requirement protocol from the CDC will be in effect for this sale! If you have not been FULLY vaccinated, you must wear a full face mask over your nose and mouth to protect others and yourself, unless you are fully vaccinated. You must maintain 6 foot social distancing at all times.

No public restrooms.

We will limit the number of people allowed into the home based on CDC, State and County Rules. While waiting outside in a line, you must maintain 6 foot social distancing as required by the CDC, and state and local requirements, which will be enforced by the on-site sales manager.

PARKING: Do not park in the private driveway. Park only where legally allowed and only on 1 side of the street. Do NOT block mailboxes or driveways.
