This was a sort of short notice sale for us, but boy has it turned into a fun discovery period!
The estate belonged to a widow of some 45 years. She was frugal and thrifty, practical and meticulous. The things she had she kept in good condition. Many items have the original box from the 1950's. If she hung onto it, it was because it worked and if it worked, she made sure it worked well. There is no clutter however, as it would appear, that if it didn't work, she didn't keep it.
She liked pretty things and whimsy as well. Her keepsakes range from kitschy and cute, with a collection of 70's green ware and macrome flower pot hangers (and owl), and Norman Rockwell plates, to refined and elegant with classic midcentury crystal stemware and decor.
There are even a few real treasures to be found. A partially peeled 2nd state Butcher cover Beatles album. A (completely non functioning/broken) Derringer OU "wall hanger", a nemadji pottery and more.
PLUS! This might even be the best part...with few exceptions...if you can remove it from the house, we can sell it to you. Oven, doors, toilets, cabinets, etc. Everything is for sale!
