Items MUST be removed by July 13th if at all possible. Other arrangements can be made but would have to see at that time.
We, like others in the Estate Sale business are often accused of putting several estates together, as appears too much for one home...and we have never done that, as always make each sale location the true Estate of an individual family. HOWEVER in this case, that assumption is partially correct, .......EXCEPT IT IS ALL ONE ESTATE!!...this gentleman owned two homes, one for storage and one to live in, plus MANY years ago, after purchasing, placed the inventory and contents of the Wilson Variety Store on the square of downtown Lawrenceville in 7 storage units, where is has been stored ever since the store was closed.
We now are contracted to liquidate this fine estate, and the 1000's of different collections, items, and more. The incredible size of this Estate has required us to locate and lease an 8,000 SQ FT. retail unit and we are now in the process of moving all of the furnishings and literally many 100's of boxes of contents to this beautiful building where we will hold the sale. Because of the sheer size of this sale, we are going to hold a 4 day sale, starting on Wednesday, July 8th, and continue thru the week, ending on Saturday with a FULL day auction of all remaining items. Discounts will be offered as the week progresses thru Friday, with ONLY the Auction on Saturday starting at 10AM.
It is difficult at this point to have many pictures, or details as you can only imagine, as have not seen "everything" of course, but can tell you the sale is HUGE, and you probably can't name anything from A to Z we don't have, and many of it. We will be adding 100 pictures, and long lists of contents, so keep an eye on this site as the next 10 days progresses.
There are many antique furniture pieces, from Hoosier cabinets, several rockers, art secretary desks, and some incredible pieces that authentically came from the famed House of Seven Gables in Salem, Massachusetts (spinning wheel, plantation desk, bench, plus gowns and clothing, kitchen tools, etc). 1780's marble top chest, 1890 Oyster inlaid table, 1780's French desk, and more.
We also have 2 of the Lester Maddox bicycles he used during his campaign here in Georgia, and other Maddox memorabilia.
In addition there is a large pocket knife collection, coins, Confederate currency, MUCH old games and toys, and Madame Alexander & Vogue Ginny, and other dolls, glassware of every style and vintage, MUCH framed artwork, (oils, watercolors, prints, etc. of named artists, plus boxes of framing supplies)
There is literally 100's of boxes of fine china still in the sealed boxes (all from the vintage inventory at Wilsons, such as Metlox, Noritake, Pfaltzgraff, and more to be discovered). These are full sets, and SO MANY different serving pieces to add to any collection.
There are antique lamps, chandeliers, vintage ceiling fans, and other lighting fixtures and shades. Old glass and wood display cases for jewelry, and other fine display items, plus costume jewelry. Old camera's, drum set, sports memorabilia, and more.
Much architectural items, such as wrought iron doors and railings, vintage wooden doors, railings, spindles, and more. So much store display items, such as cabinets, mannequins, racks, 5 old & antique cash registers, shelving and more. Large amount of tools, from small hand tools, to yard tools, mowers, edgers, as well as table saws, radial arm saws, large grease barrels and equipment, and more.
Old Middle Eastern rugs, carpets, needlepoint rugs, sports equipment and memorabilia, signed historical documents and items, many old albums & records, fishing equipment and old lures...and well, you get the idea I hope. This is a sale you do not want to miss. Some of you will remember the large sale we had in Stone Mountain last year, and this one is even bigger.
Plan to come early..and often.
