Both born in the
Kingdom of Yugoslavia.
 
Their desire to lead a better life brought them to Chicago!
The lead photo shows them "name-tagged" at New Yorks Ellis Island, 
the gateway where millions of immigrants had their papers inspected before entering the united states.
 
Hermina boasted often that she had her own tailor business in Belgrade & made more money than her own  father. Judging from her vintage dresses, pants & suits, she was indeed the "perfectionist."
