Terms

Buyers must accept the following Terms & Conditions to participate in DIRTY PILOT auctions live auctions. By signing up as a bidder, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Terms & Conditions and agree to abide by them.


TOTAL SALES PRICE: The total sales price of an item includes the hammer price plus a 17% buyer's premium. Packing, shipping and insurance is extra.


WITHDRAWAL OF PROPERTY. DIRTY PILOT reserves the right to withdraw any Property at any time for any reason and to default any sale in the event of an error or dispute.

WINNING BID: The highest bidder shall be the buyer and if any dispute arises between two or more bidders, the auction coordinator shall decide the buyer. We are not responsible for any technical issues or bids placed "by mistake"

RIGHT TO REFUSE SALE:DIRTY PILOT reserves the right to refuse any sale due to unforeseen circumstances including, but not limited to: damage to an item, out of stock listing, misrepresented item, withdrawn consignment, or other such issues. In the event of a refused sale for which payment has already been received, a full refund will be issued equal to the purchase price of the given piece.


PAYMENT. Buyers with Credit Card on file with Live Auctioneers/Live Pay will be charged automatically through LivePay 72 hours after the sale. Otherwise, payment is due within 7 business days. Payment must be made by approved bank check, or wire transfer. We also accept Visa, MasterCard. Credit card transactions will not be accepted for international clients. Dirty Pilot reserves the right to require bank wires for items over $5,000. Dirty Pilot reserves the right to hold Property purchased by personal check until the check has cleared the bank. Buyer agrees to pay Dirty Pilot a handling charge of $35.00 for any check dishonored by the drawee. Dirty Pilot reserves the right to not issue a Buyers number or to withhold merchandise if appropriate credit has not been established. All Property purchased must be paid for no later than 5 pm EST on the seventh business day following the sale. Dirty Pilot may impose, and the Buyer agrees to pay, a monthly interest charge of 1.5% of the purchase price of any Property not paid by the Buyer within thirty (30) days of the date of sale. Dirty Pilot reserves the right to rescind any sale of Property in the event payment is not received within seven (7) business days of the sale. If you have not contacted DIRTY PILOT to arrange payment within 3 days of the time that invoice is sent, we reserve the right to charge the credit card you used to register for the auction for the amount of your invoice.


BUYERS PREMIUM. A 17% buyer's premium will be added to the hammer price on each lot sold all lots. including absentee bidding.

PACKING AND SHIPPING. DIRTY PILOT will ship worldwide. We do not ship to P.O. Boxes. Please include a physical shipping address at checkout to avoid delays. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns. Any shipping requests must be made in writing via email. Please email info@dirtypilot.com and reference the invoice number.
Please ensure the shipping address provided at checkout is correct. Buyer pays shipping and we will calculate the shipping price at the end of the sale and provide
a shipping estimate for your piece using the most efficient mode either US Post, UPS, or FEDEX depending on price, size, price and location.. If the buyer wins multiple lots, we will do our best to combine shipping. All of our boxes are packed in house by a professional packer using the best and safest materials for shipping. All items will be trackable and fully insured. All packages will be shipped ?Signature Required?with no exceptions.
International shipments: Each country has their own laws for import and taxes and other fees, these fee?s are the sole responsibility of the buyer and have nothing do with DIRTY PILOT. These fee?s are levied by each government and shall be paid by the buyer with no exceptions. Please allow up to 3 business days for order verification and processing, and additional 3-10 business days for delivery*. Once your order is processed, you will receive an email confirmation with an order number to track your order status.DIRTY PILOT is not responsible for time in transit. Sometimes for reasons beyond our control pieces get delayed. We make every effort to work with the carriers to get your item to you as fast as possible.

TAXES. All purchases are subject to applicable sales tax unless the Buyer possesses an applicable sales tax exemption number. Buyer is responsible for any and all tariffs, taxes, and assessments that might be made on the Property. International Buyers are responsible for tariffs, taxes, or assessments of shipped items to the Buyer's country. Please see the following for more details. If you are tax-exempt, you can submit your tax-exempt certificate to prevent the collection of tax. Learn more about tax-exemption.

BUYERS BREACH. If the Buyer breaches any of its obligations under this Agreement, including its obligation to pay in full the purchase price of all Property for which it is the highest successful bidder, Dirty Pilot may exercise all of its rights and remedies under the law including, without limitation, (a) canceling the sale and applying any payments made by the Buyer to the damages caused by the Buyers breach, and/or (b) offering at public auction, without reserve, any lot or item for which the Buyer has failed to pay in full the purchase price, holding the Buyer liable for any deficiency plus all costs of sale.

PROPERTY SOLD AS IS. All Property is sold as-is, where is, with all faults. Neither DIRTY PILOT nor any consignor makes any guarantees, warranties or representations, expressed or implied with respect to the Property or the correctness of the catalog or any other description of the Property. In no event shall DIRTY PILOT or the consignor be responsible for the correctness, nor be deemed to have made any representation or warranty, of description, genuineness, authorship, attribution, provenance, period, culture, source, origin or condition of the Property. No statement made at the sale, or in the bill of sale, or invoice or elsewhere shall be deemed such a guarantee, warranty or representation.

ONLINE CATALOG: All listings, including reserve and starting prices and high and low estimates, are subject to change until one hour before the auctions start time.

If an item is received materially different from the auction listing and/or are damaged upon delivery, it qualifies for return or exchange. Prior to returning an item, the customer must obtain a Return Authorization from one of our representatives. We certify that all information listed is correct to our expert knowledge. All lots are sold as-is and as pictured with all flaws. Bidders should contact us for a detailed condition reports. All sales are final. There are no cancellations, returns or refunds. Under certain circumstances, we may make an exception and allow a cancellation, return or approve a refund. However, in the case of a return, the Buyer's Premium and Shipping Cost will not be refunded. All items ship fully insured. To expedite a return, please keep all packing materials and proof of damage of the item and exterior packaging.
