This sale has a variety of items---something for everyone--from contemporary and Danish Modern (several items from House of Denmark) to traditional. We pulled things from the lower level storage and placed them through the house to fill in areas that were now empty as my client took specific things with him to this new home. It turned out really great!

My client is the former chemist for Anheuser-Busch. He was recruited by A-B in 1970, and he and his family left Berlin (west of The Wall) to begin a life in St. Louis and his career in the brewing business. There are hundreds of books (in German and English) on chemistry and beer brewing as well as fiction, non-fiction and classic books.

Dining Room: An overview of the HOUSE OF DENMARK furniture and the TROSBY English server.

Dining Room: HOUSE OF DENMARK oval table measures 66" x 50" and includes two 22" leaves which would make the table 110" x 50". Notice the curved legs on the table. Eight (2 arm and 6 side) HOUSE OF DENMARK chairs are also available. A large brandy snifter of shells is on the table. The chandelier is also for sale (it is 18" tall and 15" wide).

Dining Room: The handmade TROSBY (Sussex, England) server measures 54" wide x 34" tall x 19" deep. It has two tone wood and two pull out shelves as seen in the next photo. Also shown are two urns; an English antique silver-plate bacon/breakfast server; and a large framed "Chestnut Tree" print that measures 41" tall x 35" wide.

Dining Room: HOUSE OF DENMARK sideboard/credenza is 6' 4" wide x 31" tall x 17-l/2" deep. It has a sliding door on each side and four shallow drawers in the middle. The glass lamp on the left is Finnish, and the modern lithograph is signed and numbered (74/95) by Swedish artist HANS ERNI (measures 36" wide x 29" tall).

Dining Room: A very handsome corner unit with two glass panel doors and two lower doors. It measures 7' tall x 33" wide.

Hall: An original 19th century oil on canvas painting by artist E. Clark (British School). It depicts figures on a path. It is signed and gilt-framed. The canvas measures 32" x 18". The light is included. It was purchased at Selkirk's several years ago.

Living Room: An overview of the living room with the two-piece sectional (one piece is 7' and the other is 6'); matching chair; prints; mirror; and artwork.

Living Room: HOUSE OF DENMARK credenza/stereo cabinet measures 48" wide x 26" tall x 20-l/2" deep. It has sliding doors to store electronics on one side and records or files on the other side. On top of the cabinet is a BANG & OLUFSEN BEOMASTER 6000; nearby are a DENON CD player and a DENON dual cassette player. Also shown is a 1970s-1980s reverse painted 3-D piece of art.

Living Room: A view of just SOME of the many books in this house. Books are in English and German and include fiction, non-fiction, classics. Note: The modern shelving and brackets are also for sale.

Living Room: A closer view of the shelves which are for sale. There is a total of 26 shelves, 9 vertical wall brackets and 53 shelf arms. The shelves are as follows: 5 are 41"; 5 are 58"; 8 are 61"; 6 are 64"; 2 are 87". They can be removed on Sunday late afternoon.

Family Room: An antique oak sideboard measures 51" wide x 64" tall to top of crest and 21" deep. The mirror section comes off for easy transport. There are two drawers on top and two doors on the bottom. It has been completely restored. Also shown are two urns and a silver-plate casserole.

Bedroom #2: A cream/blue striped 76" sofa sleeper; a glass top silver/gold metal table measures 48" x 23"; a floral print; and a glass jar.

Bedroom #2: A custom made occasional chair and ottoman by EXPRESSIONS; a blue/cream round table on iron base; a CLAUDE MONET print.

Bedroom #3: A four-piece contemporary beech wood storage system has a TOTAL width of 8' 7" x 6' 7" tall and 15-l/2" deep. There are several drawers and doors as well as one drop down unit. Also shown are tables and lamps and decorative items.

Bedroom #3: A brass daybed/trundle bed (includes both mattresses); small coffee table; prints.

Bedroom #3: Gold color occasional chair.

Lower Level: Two rattan/leather chairs flank a round pedestal table. The table measures 44" round and includes one 18" leaf, for a total of 62" x 44" when it becomes oval. On top is a chess game and wooden chess pieces.
