Stevens Auction Company is pleased to announce the commission to sell at public auction the lifetime antique collection of the Late Dr. Ben Martin.

Dr. Martin grew up in Holly Springs, attended Ole Miss and then to medical school and later set up practice in Columbus.  After a long successful medical career, he retired and moved back to Holly Springs.  Dr. Martin took on the giant task of buying and restoring one of Holly Springs most beautiful old Antebellum homes, “Athenia” built in 1858.  While the restoration process was going on, he started the meticulous search for the right pieces to accent his beautiful mansion.  In this auction, we will sell all the Southern finery of “Athenia” and those who attend will see firsthand one of the most magnificent structures in North Mississippi.
