First come, first served. The first person to arrive with the intention of staying until the sale starts is #1, and starts the list. The second person to arrive with the intention of staying puts his/her name on "the list", and is #2, and so on. You don't have to stand on the sidewalk - you can sit in your car- but if you put your name on the list and leave, you will lose your spot. Line up according to the list at ten minutes till start time.
We accept cash, checks and credit cards with proper id. Tag sale items are for the most part either vintage/used; they are sold "as is", and cannot be returned. No previews or early sales. We try to keep plenty of packing paper and boxes on hand for our buyers. Please bring help to load furniture. Purchases must be picked up by the end of the sale, unless other arrangements are made with us. Neither we nor the homeowner will be held responsible for accidents. Well-behaved children are ALWAYS welcome at our sales.
Gay Gasper Estate Sales is having a great moving sale in Chapel Hill, Saturday, October 24, 8 a.m - 3 p.m.
Our clients have moved from their elegantly decorated home, leaving behind nice things in generally immaculate condition.
We have a couple of show stoppers in this sale, and they are on the opposite ends of the formality scale.
One one end, there's an incredibly beautiful mahogany dining room table with contrasting inlay + six armchairs (originally purchased from Furnitureland South), in fantastic condition. You can't top it in terms of classic elegance.
On the other end, there's an incredibly cool oversized sectional sofa arrangement upstairs with POWER RECLINERS, built-in beverage holders, and room for lots of Carolina/Duke/State fans, video gamers, etc. etc.. Please bring help to load if you plan on buying!
On the practical side, we have lamps, chairs, rugs, accessories for decorating and staging, a Sony Bravia wall mounted TV, Maytag washer, Whirlpool dryer, bonus fridge in the garage, plus more.
For our regular shoppers: this sale does not have jewelry, sterling silver, clothing, books, records or antiques.
Please note this is a ONE DAY sale. All of the home's contents will be sold, and MUST BE REMOVED PROMPTLY. As always, I will do my best to work with you to arrange pick-up times (if you didn't happen to drive a moving van to the sale), but this time things must be out by Monday afternoon.
Discounts: For this one-day sale, we will ask our morning shoppers to pay for their purchases by 12:00. Then, we will close briefly (between 12:00 - 12:20) to have lunch, post discount signs, re-tag unclaimed items, and straighten up. We'll reopen at 12:20 with items available at discount.
