We are drastically reducing all prices in order to clear out this house. This family lived in this house for over 50 years. Judging by their things, they must have entertained frequently.
In the entry way alone, you will find a free-standing bar with plenty of storage underneath. Also in this area are a rocking chair and some artwork.
The living room features a queen-sized sofa bed and two capacious armchairs, as well as matching end tables and lamps in a neutral off-white. There is also a storage ottoman. Also in this room is the ceramic teapot collection kept by the lady of the house. In other locations throughout the house are several small tea sets including two small demitasse sets.
In the dining room, a capacious table with an interesting veneered finish has six chairs, plus two leaves so it can really expand to seat another four people. There are two corner china cabinets, making the most of the available space. Also in this room is an armchair with an interesting burnout velvet texture. Right now, the dining room table is covered with a huge china set by Cumberland in the Brambleberry pattern. There are settings for 20 people, plus platters and other serving dishes, and even the tea things. This china set would be perfect for someone running a small restaurant, or as was the case with this family, someone who likes to host large parties. In this room you will find a full set of Godinger silverplate cutlery.
The kitchen has a small folding table with three chairs, and the contents of the cabinets are laid out for easy access. One cabinet is completely full with a Lynns china set for eight in a bright abstract floral pattern. You will also find three separate sets of cutlery, and three pieces of vintage Corningware Blue Cornflower bakeware. Appliances include a Cuisinart grind-brew coffee maker and a large microwave, as well as an electric can opener.
The master bedroom features a queen size bed with a good wood headboard, a four-drawer chest, a five-drawer chest and a large dresser with mirror, as well as two small side chairs. Even the window treatments are for sale.
The den has a full-size sofa bed, a round end table with a chubby brass lamp, a low shelving unit, a small TV stand with the TV, a large wall rack system and a collection of soccer trophies. There is also a piece of artwork that opens to reveal a dartboard.
The unfinished side of the basement includes a workbench full of tools and hardware, two sets of golf clubs including one complete set of Wilson ProStaff clubs, a couple of fishing rods, a space heater and an air conditioner, a shop vac and some Christmas decorations. Three closets are full of men’s and women’s clothing including outerwear.
Across the hall is the laundry room, where the Frigidaire washer, Whirlpool dryer and GE refrigerator (a small one, good for an apartment) are for sale, as well as some more bakeware. Three closets bulge with Christmas decorations and clothing. Vintage Christmas decorations include blowmolds.
The finished part of the basement features a small den, in which you will find a fold-away bed, three matching armchairs in a neutral beige, a few small tables, a TV stand, and several shelves full of books, as well as a computer desk.
Around the corner you will find two more dressers, and something special: a two-shelf Lane cabinet. There is a twin bed with a headboard and a couple of small chairs. In this room is another closet full of clothes.
In the yard you will find a few tools, a pair of car ramps and several cute garden gnomes.
This house also contains a variety of New York Rangers memorabilia including a vintage quarter-zip jacket.
