Louis Vuitton Damier Canvas Cabin Trunk, Circa 1900 31½"T x 18¼"W x 13"D This cabin trunk from the turn of twentieth century features Damier canvas, all brass hardware, wooden slats and metal handles on the sides. Louis Vuitton "S" lock reinforced with two trunk latches. Orange circles with letter "P" inside are painted on the sides of the trunk. Beige canvas lining inside, the lid's interior is decorated with red ecru crossed ribbons. Two paper labels inside. Smaller label states: "1 Rue Scribe Paris Louis Vuitton 149 New Bond Street London" The bigger states: "Louis Vuitton Rue Scribe Paris London 454 Strand Medaille D'Or Paris 1889 Hors Encours Chicago 1893 Quote Above Number To Duplicate." Serial number: 37616.
