This is the Estate of the late Julia Helen Garris, a well-known and beloved piano instructor in the St. Matthew’s and Columbia areas.  Her grandfather, Perry Lee Crider, was one of the 9 Founding Fathers’s of St. Matthews and he was the first Treasurer of the town.  Her father, Howard Garris, was Superintendent of Schools in St. Matthews for many years.  This house is rich in history and full of musical talent.
