Hi Everyone,

Were excited about this weekend’s “Mad Scientist, Machinist, Chemist and Electronics Sale,”… so stop freakin’, we have beakers!  The gentleman worked as a scientist for NOAA since its inception.  This house is packed to the hilt with lab glass, scientific measuring equipment and is complete with a full machine shop.  As an accomplished person, he also tied flies, was a model railroader and a miniature artist!  WOW!  This house is also full of earlier collectible glass, china, books and hurricane lamps.

The address is 17840 Wayne Ave. N, 98133, Close to the 175th Ave. N exit off of I-5

LAB GLASS:  There is a whole room devoted only to glass.  As the lab glass blower, he has a collection that will blow your mind.  There are over a thousand pieces of vintage Pyrex and Kymax beakers, vessels, bottles, connectors, test tubes and jars, in all shapes and sizes. Also, thermometers, elements, porcelain apothecary dishes, stoppers and equipment.   We even have a rare Bethlehem glass blowing lab lathe, Pyrex tubing and rods and some colored glass rod.  Also a wet grinder, a mini band saw and two front loading mini kilns!

ELECTRONICS:  More electronics here than we’ve ever seen!  We have Heathkit, Hewlett Packard and other pieces of measuring equipment.  This includes many tube testers, oscilloscopes, military testing wave indicator, analyzers, multimeters, condenser checkers, amplifiers, frequency counter, audio generator and wave measurer.  There are also over a hundred meters (milliamperes, volt, millivolts, microampres, etc.) tubes and boxes and trays of resistors, semiconductors, capacitors of all sizes, integrated circuits, diods, transformers, resistors and other electronic miscellaneous.

SHOP EQUIPMENT: This shop is packed with high quality machinery.  Multiple vertical and bench lathes (Grizzly, Rockwell/Delta, Sears and Southbend). We have drill presses, table saws and scroll saws (Multimax and Craftsman).  The shop has many cutting and milling tools and accessories, micrometers, Dremel tools, electric motors and two medicine weighing apparatus. We also have three mini lathes (Unimat SL, EMCO and Toyo) along with attachments.  There is a Grizzly belt sander/grinder, silk screening table, hobby table saw, measuring tools and much much more.  There is also an array of watch-making equipment and a Derbyshire lathe.

COLLECTIBLES: As a fly-tier, there are cases of home tied flies and all of the tie equipment.  There are also loads of colorful feathers and yarns.  There are some Lionel train accessories, track and lots of HO trains and tracks.  There is an array of cool View-Master items including viewers, a camera, disks and a Stereo-Matte 3-D viewer and dozens of 3-D glasses. We also have cases of jewelry, trinkets and smalls.

MINIATURES: As a miniature artist, there is a HUGE selection of beautiful mini lighting fixtures (100+) that he hand blew and many actually light up!  There are many pieces of hand-made furniture and four dioramas he made for display (two are electric).

BOOKS: There are tons of books, some as early as the 1860’s.  This includes many generas such as trains, Northwest, watch making, tons on chemistry and electronics, seashell, history and military.  We also have early sets of collectible books.

GLASS and CHINA: The glass and china is very nice including some older English and Bavarian porcelain cups and saucers, plates and trays.  Also glasses and goblets, depression glass and Hurricane lamps.  The collection of spoons dates back to the late 1800ds!

FURNITURE:  There is a Rockport kitchen table and six chairs, misc. end tables, book cases, office furniture, dressers and trunks.

SEWING: There is a Bernette 334DS and a White EuroFlair 8910 sewing machine with all of the attachments.  We also have lots of sewing supplies and thread.

MISCELLANEOUS:  Some garden tools, storage tubs, kitchenware, photography developing solutions and paper, die chemicals and silk screening supplies.  This is a must see!
