We owned a rare 1929 Hudson Town Sedan — one of only a dozen remaining examples in the US of this custom-built version of the Hudson Super Six, with a body by Briggs Manufacturing Co., the largest independent auto body maker in the 1920s. We reached out to Hughes to discuss sale of the Hudson, since we were no longer able to maintain it. … The buyer is a wealthy used car collector affiliated with a museum in Germany, and that is where the Hudson is now headed. Even though Hughes happens to be located only a few miles from where we live, they clearly have an international market reach.
