After my father in-law passed away, we needed to get a house fully cleared out. Sarah and Mary were awesome. Spent the week organizing, staging and pricing, They had lots of connections to help us move "hard to deal with" items that were outdated, too large and more and help us resolve our issues. They also had connections to help us sell other items that we were not sure if the family was ready to sell (silver coins and connected us with a fair and honest coin collector/broker). My experience, very fair, professional, organized and diligent in their work. Once the sale was over and we returned to the house, everything was gone (our #1 goal) and we received our check a couple of days later. I can't ask for much more. We had an estate we needed cleared out and they got it done quick. They solved our problem. If we were to have another estate sale, I would contract them again. I first found Mary & Sarah and Legacies Estates on Instagram. Loved just scrolling through the photos of items for sale. When my husband & I decided to downsize, I told him I already had a company in mind to help. We had been in a large home for nearly 20 years and had lots of furniture and boxes of our own, in addition to things that we had inherited from parents who had passed. We were overwhelmed! Mary & Sarah were just awesome. They met me at our home and we did a walk through to assess what we had. Once we signed the contract, they told me to leave stuff we weren’t taking in the spot it was in. No need to try to organize for them-they have a system and know how it should flow for the sale. The weekend of the sale was so busy! We heard from neighbors how busy it was but no one felt infringed on by the traffic-they were more in awe. They also were notified beforehand of the sale & potential for traffic. People were respectful of our property. We elected to see if we wanted anything that was leftover afterwards and were blown away by how little there was. They even put the trash out once they were completely finished. It was all very appreciated as we had just moved and were trying to get unpacked there. I would (& have already) recommend Legacies Estates for anyone needing to clear out a home whether for downsizing purposes or after the loss of a loved one. It is truly so easy and can really help ease a difficult process! If I have any advice for anyone considering this, it would be to leave ANYTHING you don’t want. We hired Legacies to help us when we downsized from our big family home. We had so much stuff and had no idea what to do with it all, these guys were great! They pulled everything out of boxes and cabinets, and displayed it all. My house looked amazing! We could not believe we had that much stuff accumulated! Neighbors told us there was a huge line before opening on the first day! They sold almost everything and just emptied the house so we could put it right on the market. Legacies Estate Sales was a great solution for our situation. We were downsizing and getting new furniture. Our two daughters took what furniture they wanted and I took 3 sentimental pieces. Our house sold in 12 days! Mary and Sarah went to work on a lot of good furniture and a lot of just “stuff” (things we had forgotten about). They did a hybrid sale of online and in-home. They posted on their website what had sold, what was available, and new things they were still finding! We were amazed at what little was left to donate to charity at the end. They worked long days (& nights), but always were responsive to any questions we had. We could not have been happier with all they accomplished for us.
