Antiques On Main LLC

Being the executor of my parents' estate, I was really in need of professional guidance on how to successfully sell a houseful of furniture, antiques/vintage items, etc.

I was fortunate to contact Sarah and her competent staff at Antiques on Main! Sales procedures were communicated efficiently and all questions/concerns were addressed quickly...no drama...

A couple of years ago, my husband and I decided to begin the “downsizing” of our home and the many “things” we accumulated and purchased over 50 plus years of marriage. Where and how do we begin this process? Garage sale, auction, and the list and discussion went on for a few weeks. We felt many of the items may have antique value, not knowing the value of the items, we decided to check out our local antique store.
The stop at our local antique store was the beginning of our relationship with Sarah and her staff. Sarah explained to us that she takes items on consignment and also does estate sales. We decided that an estate sale would be the best choice for us. She came to our residence and we walked through our home and shed and discussed what we were ready to part with. She was upfront and honest with us as to what she felt would sell and may not sell and we did have items of antique value. She explained her contract in detail and we accepted.
Sarah and her staff spent a couple of days sorting through and pricing our “stuff”, we enjoyed the conversations we had about the items and just getting to know each other. They were professional in every way, taking the time to price each item, and careful handling of breakable items. Since we chose the estate sale, our items were moved to the Lion’s Building.
The sale was Friday through Sunday, we stopped by each day to see how the sale was going and were happy that our items were selling even the ones that we weren’t sure of. Monday, we went and picked up the items that we did not sell, which wasn’t a lot, Sarah also took some items for consignment in her store. We again shared conversation and had some laughs as we were loading up. The final paperwork was finished within a short period of time and we received our check for our items that were sold.
I highly recommend Sarah and her staff, they are professional, compassionate, detailed and a wonderful crew to work with as it is emotional parting with “stuff”. My husband has since passed away and our children and I will someday have to make the final downsizing of our home. I will be contacting Sarah and staff when that time comes.

Sarah was of great assistance helping me with items from my sister's estate. I did not know much of the value or current market for many of the items and she was very knowledgeable about all of them. She was honest regarding all items and made the whole process much easier for me.
