Death in the Family? Downsizing? Someone you love moving into a retirement home? Are you totally overwhelmed? Need that house full of stuff cleared and ready for the real estate market? Don't know how to start, who to call, or where to turn?
From rare antiques and collectibles to Granny's treasures to everyday "stuff" - if you need to liquidate it and it has any value, we can sell it ALL. We specialize in on-site, professionally run estate and liquidation sales that turn CHAOS into CASH!
So - Don't drop your items off at Goodwill, drag stuff out to the curb, or throw anything away! Let the friendly professionals at Silent Partners Estate Sales do all the hard work for you! We will not cherry pick the "good stuff" to sell in our own shop and leave you to get rid of the rest.
It is no accident that we are one of the busiest and most successful estate sale companies in the metro New Orleans area. With over 20 successful years in the antiques and collectibles business, we know what your items are realistically worth in an estate sale setting. - and if we don't know, we know who to call to find out. Even items you may consider "junk" - pots/pans, bed/bath linens, old papers, photos and postcards, religious items, costume jewelry - can have significant value.
What makes us different from all the others? First, our sales aren't sad or "weird." They are an upbeat celebration of your loved one's life and the great things he or she left behind. We love sending their treasures to good homes! And....We are professionals who will earn our money, make more money for you, and conduct a quality sale you will be proud of. We will obtain proper city/parish permits, advertise at our cost, and spend the necessary time to organize, clean, price, and research your items - then use our tables and fixtures to attractively stage and showcase it all on your site for the greatest profit potential. We don't do glorified yard sales - instead, we are setting a new standard of estate sale professionalism in the New Orleans market.
We'll get the word out to our contact list and attract the serious buyers to your sale. And - we don't just vanish after the sale. We maintain permanent space on Magazine Street where it may be possible to consign your more expensive items if they don't attract a buyer. We can list your small quality pieces in our online store that attracts buyers from all over the world.
We can handle sales in the entire metro New Orleans area, Mandeville, Covington, Slidell, Hammond area, Amite, and Baton Rouge.
Call us for a FREE on-site evaluation. We will make an appointment to come to you to view the property and determine your individual needs, requirements, and deadlines. We will handle your loved one's possessions with dignity and respect. Discretion is our watchword, and we promise full confidentiality. All sales events are handled with honesty and compassion - this is a service profession and we consider it an honor for you to choose us to come onto your property to conduct your sale.
We work strictly on commission - we charge a fair, standard percentage of the sale receipts for our knowledge and labor and you sit back and collect the rest. It's simple - the more money we make for you, the more we make. We have the capability to accept credit cards at our sales so that we can increase your bottom line. We usually settle with our clients no more than 3 business days after the sale. Absolutely NO upfront costs to you, and unlike some others, we pay all our own expenses - you will not be presented with a bill for "staging", "photography", "advertising", "sales staff", etc.
When you interview a New Orleans area estate sale company make sure you ask them to:
Show you copies of the municipal permits they have obtained for their previous sales - this is a legal requirement in our area and many so-called professionals do not obtain them;
Show you actual photos of previous sales they have staged - they should be happy to do this. Only then can you see if they will clean, professionally stage and showcase your items (after all, this is what you are paying them for) or simply open the closets and cabinets in your home and let people "dig";
Do they price each and every item (true professionals always do), or let people "name their own price?"
Show you photocopies of actual ads they have placed in local papers for their clients - many local companies claim to advertise your sale, and they charge you for it, but the total of their "advertising" is a free ad on Craig's List.
Give you a list of references from satisfied customers that you can telephone and speak to yourself.
We are happy to do ALL of the above!
We are a licensed, legitimate company. We give you our real address and home phone number - not just a cell phone number and a mailbox storefront posing as a office. "Like" us on Facebook - Silent Partners Estate Sales of New Orleans - for special sneak peeks of upcoming sales.
Here's an unsolicited testimonial from a sale we recently handled in Old Metairie:
"Many thanks for the great job you did with our estate sale. You exceeded our expectations! We were very impressed with all stages of the sale, from advance planning to final wrap-up. You took what we saw as a daunting task, and smoothly transformed it into an almost empty house and a nice financial return."
