Dorothy Golden, owner, has been a member of Certified Appraisers Guild of America for over 10 years. Dorothy has a BS in Secondary Education from Missouri Southern. She grew up in Southwest Missouri in a family that restored antique furniture for a living.
At Golden Oldies we strive to follow the "Golden Rule" and treat others as we would want to be treated. Golden Oldies adheres to strict ethical standards. At any given sale, 4-14 uniformed staff members work the sale - depending upon the size of home. No one previews the sale nor do we sell to anyone early(except at client request.) Golden Oldies staff waits until the first 25 customers have shopped before they may purchase any item or they have the option to wait in line with the other customers. For security and ease in shopping, numbers are distributed and only 20-25 customers are admitted numerically at one time - depending again on size of the house. Prices are firm on Saturday - no reductions for "friends". All customers are treated equally. At Golden Oldies we leave the home empty and broom clean. Balance of merchandise is sold to liquidators or given to charity with the tax receipt going to our client.
