Eric Iman is a 3rd generation auctioneer, specializing in Estates, Antiques, and Distinguished Real Estate auctions.
Eric's grandfather, Cleve Iman, founded Iman Auction Company, after returning from the Pacific theater of World War II, in 1947. Over the years, Iman Auction Company has become Central Missouri's premier provider of estate and antique auction services.
Ben Iman, Eric's father, took over the helm of Iman Auction Company in 1985 and continues to lead the company, conducting 80 to 100 auctions per year. Notable auctions over the last 25 years include the Carl Portwood Collection, Columbia, MO; the Maureen Agnew Estate, Paris, MO; the Jack Murphy Estate, Brookfield, MO; the Lansaw Collection, Quapaw, OK; the 13-day Heath Estate, Columbia, MO; and most recently, the $4.25M Tracey Trust Land Auction.
Eric and his wife relocated to St. Louis after serving 2 years in the U. S. Peace Corps in Choibalsan, Mongolia (2005-2007). Over the last 4 years, working with United Country Wallingford Group of Quincy, IL, Eric has conducted a number of successful live and online auctions, including the $2.1M Price Family Farm Auction, Walkerville, IL; the Chanticleer Ceramics & Chomyk Estate Art & Antiques Auction, Ironton, MO; the Misselhorn Castle Auction, Ironton, MO; selling for Ameren UE, the $4.1M Duck Creek Land Auction; and most recently the complete liquidation of the iconic Rothschild's Antiques.
Eric has over 16 years of experience as a professional auctioneer. A graduate of the University of Missouri, he currently serves on the Missouri Professional Auctioneers Association board of directors, is a member of the Certified Appraisers Guild of America, and is licensed to sell both personal property and real estate.
Starting in October of 2013, Iman Estates, Art & Antiques will operate from our home base of Kansas City, offering the same quality auction service that our customers and clients have come to expect.
