Our owners join with trained staff to participate in all aspects of each sale--consultations, staging, researching, pricing and selling. In addition, each brings unique and specific strengths to the process.
Melissa Larson is a Vanderbilt graduate and taught high school history for 11 years in Williamson County. She has completed course work to become an appraiser and is working toward certification. Her love and knowledge of history is invaluable in researching, identifying and pricing unusual items. She learned the antiques and collectibles business from her parents and grandparents, but has 15 years of experience of her own. As our organizational guru, she handles scheduling, contracts, staffing, traffic flow and hundreds of other details for each sale.
Sue Larson grew up in the Pacific Northwest states of Washington and Oregon and attended Welch College and MTSU in Tennessee. Married for 42 years, she and Earl have called Nashville home since 1983. She learned the antiques business from her father. At 15 years of age, Sue bought her first item for $15, then sold it for $50. She was hooked! Sue and Earl are seasoned collectors with 30 years experience as antique dealers in antique malls, flea markets and antique shows. Sue's extensive experience and knowledge of antiques and collectibles makes her a valued pricing resource for each sale.
Dena Willis joined the team this year. A native of Louisiana, she is a long-time Franklin resident by way of California. She has a degree in Marketing and is an accomplished real estate agent with Benchmark. Dena uses her expertise in marketing and sales to see that each sale is prominently featured in all viable advertising options. She is particularly skilled at researching and pricing upscale furnishings, accessories and household items. As a successful real estate agent, she is happy to offer her services to those wishing to sell real property.
Family Tree Estate Sales is one of middle Tennessee's leading estate sale providers, conducting 30-40 sales each year in and around Nashville, Brentwood and Franklin.
