This time we will be in lovely Wilmette, in a home packed with generations of treasures.....we have posted preliminary pictures that our client so graciously provided to us and you can be sure, as usual, once we get in for setup, we will be posting tons of pictures and much detailed description of what will be available for sale. This is going to be one AMAZING sale!!!
UPDATES: We have found: tons of toys....GI Joes (played with, parts and accessories, American Flyer trains, spacemen, toy trucks, etc. Nice Pendleton blanket, Lauren wool vest, Dooney & Burke purse, box of postcards, boxes of stationery, lovely old copper pieces, vintage skis and display box, more trunks, darling antique child's ice cream parlor table and chairs, another vintage child's table with cute graphics, vintage child's chair, more and more antique chairs in the garage, crocks, many great old books (and sets), needlework items and books (high quality yarn from France), Bernina sewing machine and sewing supplies, some ladies' shoes, more pewter than you've ever seen including Stede, Wilton Armetale, Tavern, Paul Revere, Winthrop, Stieff, Sheffield, etc. There is some Spode including a few Christmas pieces, and the Chelsea Wicker creamer & sugar, Red Cliff ironstone soup tureen, Coalport decanters, Pairpoint Silver candlestick, Kensington art deco desk set, some of the most beautiful cut glass ever....including a signed Yasmin piece that is just stunning, Alfred Meakan china Birds of America (lots and lots of dinner plates!), Arabia of Finland set of dishes (Green Thistle).....some Currier & Ives dishes, lots of Pfaltzgraff dishes, some GORGEOUS Victorian clocks, a nice collection of duck (and loon) decoys (also books on the subject), two nice nutcrackers from Germany, an ENORMOUS collection of Santas, some old cameras including Keystone 8mm, great collection of old books including the set "Animate Creation", "Modern Eloquence", "The World's Progress" and lots more. Many nice art pieces, some watercolors by local artist Rhonda Shouf, many wonderful prints including one by Lionel Barrymore, some great antique maps, collection of White House Christmas ornaments, pieces by Isabel Bloom, and yes.....much, much more. This is ONE GREAT SALE!!
We now have more pictures posted and we found many treasures in this fabulous home! Unique glassware, silverplate (some sterling pieces), equestrian brass collection, some fabulous trunks, including one HUGE one and one that was brought back by the clients' grandfather from Cuba before the revolution......there is a color photo enlarger, many, many pieces of wonderful antique furniture, Royal Albert "Canton" tea set, fab collection of Toby mugs, wonderful art work, costume jewelry including some sterling and other unusual pieces, unique lamps, vintage oil lamps, lots of great kitchenware, vintage toys.....much, much more and we will be updating details and pictures the week of the sale!
