Special Construction Note: Heavy Construction on Washington Street and around the new museum. Located in Downtown Peoria on the Peoria Riverfront. From I-74, take exit 93 Washington Street south to Harrison Street. Turn left and go to Riverfront Parking Lots located across railroad tracks between Water St and the river. These City lots are 2 hours free parking Mon-Fri 9-5 and free weekends. They get busy but you can use the ones on both sides of the River Station as well as down by Hooters. They are all 2 hours free Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm. Parking meters are checked Monday - Friday 9am to 5pm. You can also park around the museum in the new spaces where all the construction workers park if you can find a space. Please do not park in private lots that are marked. All parking meters and public lots are free on weekends in Peoria.
