CAPTAIN OF THE HELENE A 105 FOOT YACHT WHICH WAS BUILT FOR THE FORMER CEO OF FORD MOTOR COMPANY NAMED SORRENSON.
The Helene was built in Bay City in 1927 for Charles Sorenson of the Ford Motor Company. It later years it was owned by the Verbeist family of Grosse Pointe, Michigan. They were the owners of the Michigan Mutual Company. The Yacht was docked at Kean's Marina in Detroit. The Captain and current home owner for years has been Bill Graham. It had an exceptional saloon crafted out of Mahogany, spacious crew quarters, and a multitude of bedrooms.
