DO NOT PARK IN THE DRIVEWAY OF ANY OF THE HOMES...these are reserved for staff and for loading of items into vehicles. PLEASE - DO NOT BLOCK NEIGHBORS' DRIVEWAYS. No Food or Drinks to be broght inside any of the homes. We are not responsible for accidents. Numbers given out at 8:30 a.m. No posting of lists on the property. First person arriving on morning of sale may start a list and we will honor that list....you must stay with the list and if you are not there when your number is called, you lose your place in line. AN INTERESTING, WILD, ECLECTIC SALE YOU WON'T BELIEVE!
PLEASE NOTE: This will be a "digging" sale for sure....many items will not be priced and will be priced at checkout. You may want to bring gloves...the house is very small, tight and filled with items, so Please NO CHILDREN AT THIS SALE!! We also ask for your patience for checkout and pricing. We will have someone doing checkout at or near the garage if possible.
Also - Please note there is only parking on the East side of the street and not on the side where the house is located.

This sale in Elmhurst will be one sale you will not forget ...there is a bit of just about everything here, from mineral and fossils, some very unusual shells (some beautiful very large ones also), tons of books on all sorts of subject matter, magazines/journals, entomology specimens, taxidermy (including real frogs playing musical instruments and an African sable antelope named "Smiley"!), furniture, some antique, some needing a little love (those of you who love to "repurpose" furniture, this one is for you. This is the estate of a luthier so we have many violins and other stringed instruments (including a very, very special bass, "Glass Leipzig" signed Johann Glass 1914, more info on this available, so please inquire), instruments parts, unusual and rare wood pieces, sheet music.
The basement holds a huge variety and number of tools.....many, many tools......some large ones, and tons of small ones. Brand new Taurus II.2 that will cut glass, stone, tile, etc.
There are books of all sorts....quite interesting: Books on violin making, photography, German books, mineralogy books, literature. There are records, DVDs, dishes, china, kitchen items, art glass, household and more. There are some cool mannequins (check out the pictures), all sorts of unusual items for you to discover. There is a lot of art of various types....we found an art case filled with prints, ephemera from the 1960's "revolution", posters and all sorts of cool things including the famous Yoko/John Lennon photos.
We have Tibetan bells including one very large, heavy solid brass one, also a cast iron bell in the garage. The garage is FILLED with all sorts of goodies....more books, art, dishes, china, glassware, LOTS of wood for you wood workers.....many rare and unusual woods for your projects.
There are some very high quality art glass pieces including a Lundberg Studios tall vase and two Steuben fan vases, some stained glass pieces and more. We also have a collection of "peineta" or Spanish celluloid tortoise hair combs.....just gorgeous, some smaller and some very large!
As stated above, there will be digging at this sale and some items will not be priced....there is just so much here and the house had to be cleared out beforehand. No doubt it will be a fun sale, so check out the pictures, but know this is only a peek as to what is here....you may discover things we did not! Again, we ask for your patience at this overly crowded sale.....we have just so much room to work with and so many items to sell.
