DuMouchelle’s auction previews are conducted at the gallery for one full week prior to the sale, including a late evening preview on the Wednesday prior to auction until 8:30 p.m. Condition Reports are available to those who cannot view items in person. DuMouchelle’s auction requires no entry fee and free valet parking is available to those attending. Doors open at 5:30 pm on Friday, 10am on Saturday and at 11am on Sunday. Paddle bidding at the auction allows for the most flexibility. But if you’re unable to attend, then phone and absentee bidding services are available - as well as internet bidding via www.liveauctioneers.com. DuMouchelles accepts wire transfers, checks, cash, Mastercard, Visa and Discover card (amount upon approval). A buyer’s premium of 20% is added to each lot purchased (23% when bidding via internet on Live Auctioneers). Please note also that All Sales Are Final. So do take time for previewing or obtaining a condition report. If you have a sales tax exemption certificate, please provide it ahead of time. Should you need to have an item shipped, either locally or out-of state, DuMouchelles can provide you with names of reputable delivery companies.

Friday, July 20th at 6:30 pm

Friday features a hand carved a carousel horse, a Steinway & Son New York, Model A piano; a Leopold Savine (French 1861-1934) bronze sculpture of a praying woman along with after Fredrick Remington bronze sculptures including, “Bronco Buster”, Cheyenne”, “Mountain Man” and others; a 100th Anniversary Limited Edition, #135/153, Sterling silver and gold, scale model of a 1903 “Model A” Ford, with display case. Jewelry items include a fine 4.70 ct natural sapphire and 1.40 ct diamond ring; 3.1 carat round cut diamond ring and 4.25 ct. diamond hoop earrings. Two hand drawn cartoon character collages one entitled: “Voice Of Children”, includes a ‘Who’s Who’ of cartoonists and their characters drawn and autographed by each artist including Charles Schultz (Peanuts), Walter Lantz (Looney Tunes) and many more. The second collage entitled: “Cartoonists Constitution” also including cartoon characters, Snoopy, BC, Garfield the cat, a caricature of Ronald and Nancy Reagan and more along with their artist signatures.

Saturday auction features include a rare Liberty and Co. “Tudric” enamel and pewter clock, Edgar William Brandt iron cendriers, Tiffany desk accessories, Gabriel Argy-Rousseau pate-de-verre vases, LaLique crystal sconce globe, Italian 19th . c. marble sculptures, marble pedestals, fine antique furniture as well as a selection of investment grade  antique pocket and wristwatches. Sale also includes over 50 lots of gold, diamond, sapphire, jade and pearl jewelry. Over thirty oriental carpets are offered. The selection is varied and extensive: over 500 individual lots.

The over 220 selections of fine arts feature:  contemporary and modern works by Pierre Bittar, Nicola Simbari, Yvonne Canu, Romare Bearden, Marc Chagall, Joan Miro, Theodore Tobiasse, Karel Appel, Michael Luchs, Larry Fisher, Marshall Fredericks and Harry Bertoia; 18th, 19th and 20th listings by Robert Hopkin, Seth Arca Whipple, Louis Kronberg, Henri Alphonse Barnoin, Friedrich J. Voltz and George Morland, as well as a nice selection of 19th c. portraits. Furniture features include:  a Kohler & Campbell grand piano with digital player, Henkel Harris dining table and chairs, Belgium , c. 1890 cabinet, French cupboard, c. 1880, German grandfather clock, Louis XV style gold leaf pier mirror and French style inlaid dining table with chairs, breakfront and sideboard. Jewelry highlights include:  a 5.54 ct. marquis diamond lady’s ring with GIA, 3.19 ct. yellow pear shape diamond lady’s ring with GIA, 9.41 ct. sapphire ring with GIA and a Tiffany & Co. platinum and diamond lorgnette. Also featured are:  Chinese export porcelain, still and mechanical banks, an Italian marble and alabaster floor lamp, Arthur & Bond Japanese sterling coffee and tea service, Chinese jadeite and nephrite Quan Yin, Mary Chase Stratton Pewabic centerpiece, Oriental rugs (including 8 Sarouks) and a nice selection of chandeliers and wall sconces.
