The Estate Road Show is proud to present the giant personal property Estate of Ms. Dorothy Mae Peterson of Decatur, Arkansas. Ms. Dorothy was the sister of Lloyd Peterson, who founded Peterson Industries in Decatur, Ark., including the fabled Peterson Farms poultry operation. Lloyd Peterson introduced the "Peterson Male" in 1954-55, the broiler breeder genetic line, which would become renowned throughout the world. Dorothy Mae Peterson was born on October, 9 1922, and as such grew to young adulthood during the Great Depression. As a young girl, Dorothy acquired a love for antiques, many of which were accumulated as payment when she & her mother would barter with eggs and chickens. In those hard times, many of the beautiful Victorian pieces became her best friends. Caring for her babies, her collection grew through the WW II years, and continued into the new millennium, at which point, Ms. Dorothy had amassed the incredible treasure trove of rare & valuable Majolica, porcelain & glass that we are now privileged to showcase for the world.
