"Nina Vres", Obrad Nicolitch (1898-1976) - Original Entertainer Poster
Poster featuring Nina Vres, printed by Central, Marseilles, c.1928 (colour litho). Nina Vres, a noted night club performer, sits on her stool and speaks to the audience at the conclusion of her performance.
A beautiful stone lithograph, created on two stones by Nicolitch, a noted poster artist. The poster is linen backed and measures 26" x 77." Never been publicly displayed, stayed in dark pool table room in ther past 50 years. Extremely rare, in pristine condition made over 90 year-old poster. This poster has become almost extinct.

Emmanuel Villanis, Art Nouveau BronzeTray Platter. Emmanuel Villanis (December 12, 1858 - August 28, 1914), French sculptor. The Bronze Tray is signed along the top edge “Villanis.” After a quick search on the internet I found many examples of Art Nouveau Bronze Sculptures by the 19thC French Artist, Emmanuel Villanis (1858-1914.) 19 ¼” long by 10 1/2” wide antique Bronze Tray. He was born in Lille, France, and died in Paris. He studied at the Academia des Beaux-Art in Turin. One of his teachers was Odeoardo Tabacchi. From 1885, Villanis lived in Paris and became one of the most productive sculptors towards the end of the 19th century. His female bronze busts, cast by the Society de Bronze de Paris, were exported all over the world from Paris, particularly to the United States. Today his sculptures can be found regularly in auctions.

Harry Lewis Bailey was born in St. Louis, Missouri, in 1879. He studied at the St. Louis School of Fine Arts. He was an etcher who relocated to California where he was an illustrator and etcher. He became a member of the California Arts Club, the California Society of Etchers and the Printmakers Society. Listed in Davenport's.
