Grand 1848 Antebellum Home
and contents for sale.

The home was originally built by Oxford brick maker Dave Kennedy.  The house survived the Civil War unhurt and was eventually sold in 1877 to Mr. Huldric Price.  Price had served with the Lamar Rifles during the war.  In 1897 the Prices renovated the home to include an addition to the rear of the house.  Price died in 1903 and the family kept the property until it was sold to the Shaw family.  Dean Oliver A. Shaw was the first Dean of Education at the university of Mississippi.  The house is still owned by the Shaw family.

There is much more to be seen.  Log houses are for sale for removal as separate pieces from property.  Property consists of home and approx. 6 acres in downtown area of Oxford, MS.  This will make a great show place for someone.
