We accept bids on all items over 25.00 and we close on Saturday between 11:30 and 12:00 in order to open bids and call the high bidders.
When we reopen at 12:00 on Saturday everything is 1/2 price.
Sale Description:
Two fun sales this weekend. The sale on Central is a moving sale and has a house filled with wonderful items. At the same time we are liquidating the fixtures from Vaughan's Garden Center in Western Springs. Great sale in Western Springs. We have an entire room of toys and collectible toys including over 25 Steiff animals--dating from the 50's thru the 70's. Lots of smaller Teddy Bears, bunnies, a mole, kangaroo, dogs, monkey, etc. We also have the "City Mouse" with all original furnishings in the house. Knickerbocker Raggedy Ann and Andy, Doll house furniture and figures.
Antique furniture including an oak side by side combination desk/curio, Step-back Pie Safe, White Glass front Cabinet, Bookcases and other desks. Large Cedar Trunk. Genuine 1900's "Reo Roadster" child's combination sled/wagon. Planked Harvest Table.
Ladies and Men's Like New Trek bikes. Entire screened porch of wicker furniture, metal bird bath, cement bench, yard art, planters, etc. Garage is filled with brand new in package Christmas lights of all types that we moved over from the Vaughans Garden Center Store.
LR and DR furniture, Lots of Holiday, Dickens Snow Village including the "STARBUCKS" House., Radko Ornaments, Halloween, Easter and Thanksgiving.
Collectibles include a Men's Tiffany Sterling Silver Traveling Set--probably from the 20's, Silverplate, two Wizard of Oz Books. Salvidore Dali signature obtained by the owner of the house when she was in Paris in 1968. Set of 4 framed original John Gould & HC Richter large folio, hand colored lithographs of water birds. These date from 1862-1873. I believe that these are from a series of "Birds of Great Britain." The leather books pictured are The Easton Press Leather Editions of the Classics, some are signed. We have about 50 of the Easton Press Books. We also have a complete Leather Bound set of 11 volumes Works of Longfellow from the early 1900's.
Lots of decoratvie accessories, kitchen set, slant front desk. Nice selection of Infant's, children's, men's women's clothing, linens, kitchen and general household.
