     Many of you have probably never been in the home of a true artist.  This sale will give you the chance to experience an artist's point of view who gravitated toward color and texture.  The house exudes these tastes.  The artist was known for her fiber art. You will discover for sale some of her original wall art pieces made of fabric, sequins, natural elements. Throughout the house you will see her preferences for color by her selection of items from diverse parts of the world including a large Ethiopian story painting, 3 Panamanian molas, blue kimono, red Chinese carved table, German 4-panel painting with large splashes of yellow/blue/red/green.

     You will also discover her preference for texture through the myriad baskets and basketweave items from around the world, including FINE Asian ones, wicker 3-panel screen, textured ceramic panels hanging on the wall near the cast iron heat stove. Thanks to her, we have a large collection of textiles for sale from around the world.  These include Indonesian silk, Cambodian fabric, Japanese obi, MANY colorful table mat sets. Her preference for surrounding herself with textured items also shows in the pottery and wood items we have for sale, again from around the world.  There are wood carvings of people and animals from Asia and Africa, abstracted human torso in chip-carved wood, a lot of oak furniture that shows off the pronounced oak graining, also a 2-drawer tansu, red/black wedding chest and box. We will have 2 showcases to display her colorful costume jewelry, while you will discover colorful medium size women's clothes in the closets.

     In addition, there are a lot of art supplies, yarn, sewing items, antique and modern sewing machines, storage cabinets, cabinets with work counters.  Beyond this you will find one of the largest collections of cookbooks we have ever had. There are shelves upon shelves of cookbooks. Complementing these are many books on art, gardening, flower arranging. There is an enormous amount of planters and vases. She loved gardening. You will thoroughly enjoy walking around her large garden and landscaped back yard, complete with metal patio sets to purchase. The shed is full of yard tools and gardening supplies. So, come enjoy this most unique experience.
