arts21arts21Tile Art Lizards CERAMIC MURAL by Michellino. This is a 3 dimensional ceramic mural / tile art by contemporary California artist Michel Petersen, who uses the artistic name Michellino. Mural depicts 3 blue lizards against a white background. This mural was originally installed as one of several murals in the historic Ventura Harbor (California), where Michel Petersen was the artist in residence 1998-2005. The murals were produced by her company Michellino Ceramics. During a recent renovation of the harbor buildings some of the previously installed murals were lost. This is the only one saved during the renovation, as it was the only one not permanently attached to the building. The mural measures about 32"wide x 48"high and the base is around 1"thick; the lizards protrude about 5" above the base. It is quite heavy. This art is made of ceramic, was intended for outdoor installation and made to withstand the elements. The colors are vibrant, looks like new. Perfect for indoor or outdoorMovie poster advertising "Gone With The Wind"This is a huge original painting with a nautical theme, showing what looks like a ship's captain at the helm of a ship or boat. Oil on canvas. The size is about 51"wide (left to right) x 71"tall (top to bottom), this is the size of the painting only, not counting the frame. It is signed, but I can't make out the signature. Age is unknown, but it looks quite old. Will need cleaning. I am not an expert in this field so I will leave cleaning up to the buyer. The painting was purchased in the 1950's from the MGM studios. This is an antique Spanish painting on wood about 11 75 by 17.75 inches, it also is engraved in to the wood. I was told it was a piece done for the Santa Barbara fiesta, the posters that followed may be based on this. Looks very old, not signed.

Danuta Erman has been for many years been one of leading designers of modern art. Her unique style and flair for bright, rich colors come together in paintings of abstracts and surreal motifs, each offering contemporary elegance and also capturing all the drama and beauty of bold colors and contrast.
Danuta Erman was raised and educated in Europe. Her works have a unique pallet of boldness, eloquently expressed in metallic, acrylics, airbrush, and unifying shapes. Inspired by the need for artistic evolution, Danuta painted with renegade use of formal techniques which reflects its own logic of action, movement, focus, drama, and repose. Her style set forth the purpose of inviting the viewer to look inward for the work's raison d'etre.
Danuta's works have been exhibited throughout much of Europe and, more recently, the United Stated.
