Sigh...the pieces in this sale REALLY do speak for themselves.

Of course, there is so much I want to say about this photo I took in the early days of the sale prep..the antique Royal Worcester with 8 nine piece place settings, the flawless (I believe French) set of 10 crystal wine glasses, the perfect 19th century English mahogany dining table that very comfortably sits 8 (and a few more "pull ups" for the little ones), evidenced by this set of six vintage lath back mahogany side chairs plus two arm chairs.
Of course, there is so much I want to say about this photo I took in the early days of the sale prep..the antique Royal Worcester with 8 nine piece place settings, the flawless (I believe French) set of 10 crystal wine glasses, the perfect 19th century English mahogany dining table that very comfortably sits 8 (and a few more "pull ups" for the little ones), evidenced by this set of six vintage lath back mahogany side chairs plus two arm chairs.
Okay, Jay bought a new toy with panoramic capabilities. (So far, I am not a big fan!) But this home (backing up to a preserve) is expansive, bright and gorgeous...but presents a real glare issue. Still, this living room set is practically a give away...not to mention the couch is a hide-a-way!

Close to pristine Ethan Allen marine blue sofa with nail head trim...this is the perfect transitional style sofa..comfortable enough for napping and binge watching Netflix...but impressive enough for mother-in-laws.

I spent hours searching for this Royal Worcester pattern... close, but nothing exact...8 nine piece place settings...imagine it paired with RW Marquis or vintage French Haviland during the holidays...STUNNING!

Such a coincidence...from the day we walked into the house, I called this rug my "Sad Shah on a Kerman", because I had never experienced an antique pictorial carpet quite like it...later I found an old appraisal identifying it as a "Tabriz". But yesterday, my new rug guy tells me it is a "Kermanshah"! I was right (sort of) from the beginning..at least that it was sad...there is old evidence of a small dog that that at some point appreciated this exquisite rug as well...and the price reflects.
