Many of the items in this sale are delicate/easily broken. If you bring children and they break something, you will be expected to pay for it. This is a private home and unlike department stores, we cannot send breakage back to the manufacturer for reimbursement. You break it? You buy it.

This estate is that of a husband and wife who were, respectively, a corporate pilot for Rollins/Orkin as well as private pilot for LBJ and for Airforce 1 and Air Force 2. His wife was CEO/owner of a manufacturing company.
Lot 1: The husband was flying near the launch of the doomed Challenger space shuttle on January 28, 1986. He photographed in sequence the launch and subsequent disaster. NASA and the government seized his negatives but he was allowed to keep the hard copies. These are never seen before original photographs of this horrible tragedy. Also included are two arm patches given to those who were in attendance for the launch and four different newspapers reporting on the event. This will be sold as a single lot.
Lexus LX570 - we will be scheduling test drives prior to the sale but will not offer test drives during the sale. The SUV will be sold with its clean title the first day of the sale to the highest offer. If no reasonable offers are made on the first day, then the first reasonable offer will be accepted on day two or three. If no acceptable offers are received, you will have a chance to purchase the vehicle from Jim Ellis Lexus who have provided a standing offer. ( I’m other words, this is a highly desirable vehicle and you can get it without all the dealer markups.... or you can get it at the dealership).
The SUV is being serviced today (11/29) at the Lexus dealership and having a new battery installed. It will have passed emissions and have a new tag, so that the purchaser will have an easy time transferring the title and registering the vehicle. This is a fine, very well maintained vehicle - it just hasn’t been driven much in the last couple years (this why it is being serviced).
