HALF PRICE TODAY UNTIL 3 P.M. ONLY!  SHAWNEE MISSION LA SERTOMA ESTATE SALE IN OLD LEAWOOD -- Wednesday, January 17, and Thursday, January 18, 9 to 4, and Friday, January 19, 9 to 3 ONLY!  This is the estate sale of a tall handsome gentleman who came to all of our sales with a smile on his face and always had jokes for us, we are so happy to be able to do his sale.  The house is in the historic old part of Leawood and is a fantastic Mad-Men style house, complete with a thorough barware collection and La Sertoma gossip has it that there was a chilled martini glass still in the freezer.  We're sorry he didn't get that last martini, but so happy that proceeds from his estate sale will fund nurse scholarships at Johnson County Community College.  This man had EXCELLENT taste (he came to our sales, didn't he?) but as far as we are concerned, the highlight of this sale is a huge desk and credenza that came from the old Board of Trade building; I think it's probably walnut but is just fantastic and believe you me, you will not find its equal at Nebraska Furniture Mart.  There is also lots of tall men's clothing, lots of nice furniture and artwork.  And a HUGE TELESCOPE!
