A sale like this comes only once every 62 years. That’s how long our parents have lived in their smoke-free, pet-free house. Over those years, Mom and Dad traveled the world and collected hundreds of objects. Some kitschy, some classy, all of them interesting in their own way. Asian collectibles and artwork. Tea sets and knick knacks. China birds and flowers. Curio cabinets and plant stands. Vintage clothes and antique furniture. Mom was quite a cook and loved to set an elegant table, so this sale includes many cooking and silver serving items. Dishes? Oh yes. Many sets of dishes including a 100+ piece set from Czechoslovakia that’s at least 100 years old. In addition to the fancy and exotic, there are hundreds of everyday household items.
If you go to only one estate sale this year, this should be it. Truly incredible. We didn’t count, but there are thousands of items for sale. The photos show just a small sampling of the treasures you will discover. Pick up 10 years of Mother’s Day gifts for a pittance.
Every one-of-a-kind item is priced to sell, so come early. Thursday and Friday, July 29 and 30 8:30 am to 7:00 pm. Saturday, July 31, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Sunday, August 1, noon to 2:00 pm. Come to the intersection of 63rd and Broadway in Brooklyn Park, 55428 and look for the signs. No parking on Broadway. Please park on side streets. No early entry. Cash only.
