Vintage Felt Beanie with Pinbacks: A vintage felt beanie with numerous pinbacks and lapel pins from the 1930s and 1940s. The letters USA are applied to the beanie’s brim. Included are pinbacks depicting Hollywood stars of the day, political pins touting Langdon and Knox, Stevenson, Ike, Bob Taft and more, as well as union buttons and much more!

Antique Hiroshige Restrike: An antique restrike of Kanaya: The Far Bank of the Ōi River (金谷: 大井川遠岸) from the series Fifty-three Stations of the Tōkaidō (東海道五十三次之内) by Utagawa Hiroshige (歌川 広重 1797-1858). The print and series titles are printed in the upper right corner, the artist’s “Hiroshige ga” (広重画) is printed along the right edge. Hand-tinted and presented in a bamboo-look frame. Companion to #17CIN148-502.

Late 19th Century Ethiopian Cavalry Saber: An Ethiopian cavalry saber with tooled leather scabbard from the reign of Menelik II (1844-1913), who was in power from 1889-1913. It features a stirrup form, nickel-plated brass hilt, uncovered wooden grip, and lion’s head pommel. The single-edge, fullered blade has been etched with foliate designs. The ricasso bears a Lion of Judah to one side and Ge’ez inscription above “T. M.” with profile of Menelik II to the verso. The curved blade is approximately 32.5" (83 cm) long. The handmade scabbard has been etched with a variety of designs, including the Arabic star and crescent, and bears the names Akamed Hussein and Mohamed Hussein. Menelik II was in conflict with Italians who were trying to expand their territory.

Lalique Crystal Carree Roses Bowl: A Lalique crystal Carree Roses bowl. This exquisite square bowl features a gently curved profile. It has a polished interior and frosted exterior, adorned with a raised rose motif.

Antique Mahogany Bookcase: An antique mahogany bookcase. The piece features two glass front doors, wood knobs, and three adjustable shelves. It is adorned with both carved and applied dental molding, and flanked by ionic columnar details.

Starlight Cuff Bracelet by Pat Flynn: A statement cuff bracelet by designer Pat Flynn. The open cuff bracelet is forged from black iron, and features a distressed finish. It is punctuated with a group of four petite tightly spaced diamonds.

Vintage Persian Shadow Puppet Mobile: An animated mobile comprised of vintage Persian-Acem shadow puppets. This unique piece features silhouettes of four men and four women, with reticulated limbs. The puppets are individually affixed with a delicate string to copper wire extensions that fall from a single grasp. The elements are created from hand painted, opaque hide material.

Antique Table from Repurposed Incubator: An antique chicken incubator that has been repurposed as a decorative table. Created by the Cyphers Incubator Company of Buffalo, NY, the incubator features a drop-down door in the front with a narrow window. Holes on the sides allowed owners to reach in and adjust the eggs. All asbestos and insulating material has been removed and it has been refinished.

Vintage Zebra Hide Stool: A vintage zebra hide collapsible stool. The piece features a triangular seat made of zebra hide with three leather pockets for stool’s legs. The collapsible tripod-like stand is constructed of wood rods that are painted black with brass cleats.

Vintage Ringling Elephant Circus Poster: An original 1950s Ringling Brothers, Barnum and Bailey framed circus poster. The color lithograph advertising poster touts the combined Ringling Bros./Barnum and Bailey show, highlighting the elephant acts. The image depicts a pyramid of pachyderms in the foreground, with more performing elephants in the background. It was billed as a quarter million pound act. The poster is housed in a black metal frame.

Vintage Secretary Desk: A fine vintage cherry secretary desk, with three dresser-style drawers and a hinged top which looks like a fourth drawer, but folds up on hinges to reveal the desktop. Desk includes sliding extendable writing surface with leather inlay, a small center drawer, and several pigeon holes and letter slots. The piece features dovetail joining and carved columnar accents.

Antique Dutch Map of 17th Century Colonial Virginia: An antique framed map of colonial Virginia, circa 1630. The hand-tinted map depicts the Chesapeake Bay area and is oriented with West (Occidens) at the top, rather than North. It is labeled in Latin with key to left. Matted and housed in a vintage, distressed wood frame. Companion to #17CIN148-524

Original Oil Painting by Harland Hubbard: An original oil painting by Harland Hubbard titled, Barnyard Siesta. The piece features a brood of hens in pale earth tones, and is uniquely framed in repurposed barn siding material. Providence accompanying the piece includes a personal hand written note from the artist to the original buyer.

Antique Woodblock of Crucian Carp: An original, hand-colored woodblock print of the Crucian Carp by Jonathan Couch. The print is from his volume A History of The Fishes of British Islands, From Drawings by the Author, published in 1877. It is labeled CLXXIV, or number 174. Dr. Couch (1789-1870) created the initial sketches from fishes he dissected. The sketches were then finished by Alexander Lydon and a woodblock engraving created by Benjamin Fawcett. Locals from Dr. Couch’s small fishing village in Cornwall then colored the prints. The print is double matted and nicely framed.

Slate Pool Table and Accessories: A classic slate pool table with assorted accessories. This sophisticated piece features a painted black wood frame, leather pockets, and a fitted vinyl cover. The slate table comes in three pieces and is covered in navy felt. Maple side panels with mother of pearl details surround the playing surface. Accessories include six cues, two of which are “signature” sticks by Mark Markley, new in packaging. The table is marked with the name Obsidian Billiards on the underside.

Salesman's Sample Victorian Chaise: An upholstered miniature (37" long) chaise used as a salesman’s sample. The Victorian fainting couch features an elaborately carved swan and carved accents to the frame. It has the original upholstery and padding.

Original Decoupage Trays by Alice Balterman: A pair of original hand-crafted decoupage trays by local Cincinnati artist, Alice Balterman. Her work has been exhibited throughout the region and during the filming of “Little Man Tate” in Cincinnati, actress Jody Foster became a big fan and collector of her whimsical and fanciful pieces. Included is an oval tray decorated with a variety of beer labels. The smaller tray is covered with delightful images of houses. Both pieces are signed by the artist.

Two Handmade Vintage Quilts: A pair of vintage handmade quilts in red and blue color palettes. Both quilts feature multicolored geometric patterns, with triangles the dominant pattern in the red quilt and squares in the blue.

"Spring Quartet" Limited Edition Offset Print by John Ruthven: A limited edition offset lithograph print, titled “Spring Quartet” by Cincinnati wildlife artist, John Ruthven (Ohio, b. 1924). “Spring Quartet” features a group of four spring warblers, including the Chestnut-Sided Warbler, Parula Warbler, Black-Throated Blue Warbler and the Prothonotary Warbler. Ruthven is an internationally acknowledged master of wildlife art. The print is signed and numbered 90/500.

Antique Louis XV Style Settee: An antique Louis XV style settee. The settee features a fixed seat, curved back frame with gold and white silk damask upholstery. It has short carved arms and inlaid accents to the tapered front legs. The upholstery is recent.
