J. Darling Estate Sales is family-owned and operated by husband and wife team, Janet Darling and Flip Riley.
J. Darling Estate Sales is committed to a strong work ethic, combined with honesty and integrity, to produce the best possible sale for you. Our business is a full-time endeavor for us, not a part-time hobby or pleasant diversion. We understand how difficult it can be sometimes to let go of possessions and will always treat you and your belongings with the utmost dignity and care. We are here to help you and will strive to make this process as stress- and anxiety-free as possible.
Janet's background includes over 15 years in convention and exhibits management for Specialty Advertising Association and the American College of Emergency Physicians. This helped Janet fine tune her organizational and multi-tasking skills. Also, she has previously owned and operated a retail/resale store. This required intensive research as well as in-depth knowledge of fair market values of items both old and new. She has found the urgency of an estate sale to be much more stimulating and rewarding.
Before partnering with Janet in the retail/resale market, Flip owned his own successful DFW construction company for over 15 years. This gave him a strong sense for sales and marketing as well as a great understanding for executing a project from start to finish. His strengths are, but not limited to, his ability to negotiate and engage with the general public which are vital components to any successful estate sale.
