Mark-It Estate And Moving Sales
Description & Details
This will be a fun estate sale, set on a 40 acre property in the woods outside of Jacksonville, AL. The house is a mid century modern, built c1957. The owner had been the head of the music department at Jacksonville State. A hobby was woodworking, which included making guitars. Great tools in this sale!
Contents include a double bed and dresser, a sofa bed, a black sofa, two side chairs and an ottoman (very well made), coffee table, little brass dressing table, lamps, dishes, silver plate flatware (well used), small kitchen appliances (coffee grinder, white Kitchen Aid mixer, bread machines, electric meat slicer, etc.), some utensils, enamel canning pots, canning jars, a washer, an older dryer, a nice large Frigidaire Commercial chest freezer and a gas space heater..
A Conn tuba, a Lester parlour grand piano, one of the homemade guitars (he played this one a lot - it has some wear similar to Willie's, just not as much), metronome, sheet music, several sets of speakers, older turntable, reel to reel recording equipment and reels, electronics and an aluminum guitar mold.
All sorts of exercise machines, such as a NordicTrac, Cross Bow by Weider, and several more (see pics), weights, Ham radio equipment, books (including, but not limited to, cooking, woodworking, music, hymnals, religious, etc.), Jacksonville state Yearbooks from 1969 through the late 70's, records (LPs), a 1964 pool table.
Yard hand tools, chain saws, big wheelbarrow, a Flotron electric log splitter, a Craftsman GT 3000 21 horsepower lawn tractor, a new Craftsman self propelled turbo-charged mower with bagger (taken out of the packaging and used once to cut the grass for this sale), an electric hedge trimmer.
Lots of woodworking tools, most are Craftsman, including a metal lathe (12"), air compressors, welding machine, belt sander, table saw, band saw, radial arm saw, couple of grinders, 6" joiner, router, some scaffolding, a homemade press (maybe made for laminating for the guitars), ladders, a kerosene heater, and a shop blower/heater, pipe clamps, hardware and lots of shop do-dads and stuff.
You may want to bring a flashlight to explore parts of the sheds; the light is not the best.
Are there things not listed here? Of course, so take a look at the pics, and come on out to the sale. (Don't forget - there is no running water in the house, so make that pit stop before you get to the sale.)
