Due to the scale of the sale, we brought in a new photographer and a few items were in postings last week that are not actually available. This house is 7500' feet not counting the courtyards, etc. The photos were removed, so if you don't see something in the current photos, contact me before traveling great distances to confirm availability.
You are invited to a spectacularly stunning Mobile estate. Ahead of her time, the client served as her own architect and worked with prominent decorators and gallerists to craft a stunning elegantly restrained interior.
The home is a 7500' foot gem of an estate full of the stately, elegant Southern charm of Mobile, Alabama. The sale is a treasure trove for the connoisseur with elegant examples of Neoclassical, Regency, Rococo, Hollywood Regency and Chinoiserie furniture, design, and accessories that have not been on the market in decades.
A lifelong patron of the arts and the Mobile Museum of Art, the client accented the home with paintings and prints from local and, national and international artists from the mid nineteenth century to contemporary. Works include listed female artists, nineteenth century British painters, and founding members of the Mobile Watercolor and Graphic Art Society.
The sale includes furniture, paintings, ceramics, glass, linens, garden accessories, iron, and more. From export Imari Porcelain to signed Italian Murano glass hand handkerchief vases and 1950's hammered brass Italian accessories, there is something amazing for collectors, connoisseurs and decorators of all tastes and interests.
