Description & Details

A wonderful collection of art, antiques and modern furnishings will be on offer.  Note, this is not an estate liquidation, and therefore will not include much in the way of kitchenware, clothing, soft home goods, etc.

The best selection of local art in the past year - works by Clark Walker, Sharon Yavis, Jake Wagnon, Jim Sabel, Eloise Hawkins (Kelly Fitzpatrick's 'girlfriend' and part of the Dixie Art Colony), and more. There's also a wonderful blueprint from the original Garrett survey of Montgomery, circa 1900.

Among the antiques included there is an extraordinarily scarce 18th century Baroque sideboard/credenza from Tuscany circa 1730, an 18th century Hepplewhite writing table/console circa 1780, a George III mahogany stool circa 1800, an early English hanging corner cabinet with beautiful Chinoiserie detail, a very rare 19th century Italian tapestry with gold bullion fringe, a handsome collection of antique armchairs, several Persian rugs, an Anatolian kilim rug from Turkey, and a beautiful Oushak rug from Turkey.  Several wonderful pieces from France.

There's also a bit of architectural salvage, including a beautiful 19th century English neoclassical pine mantel (very fine!), a pair of outdoor copper lights needing rewiring, and a 1930s cast-iron sink.

There's also a selection of midcentury modern furniture, including a rare set of Ib Kofod Larsen chairs by Selig, side tables by Paul McCobb for Lane, a glass-top aluminum tulip table designed by Birmingham architect Bill Ingram, and a wonderful handmade midcentury dining table. Very chic grasscloth covered Parsons table. Also a wonderful striped rug from Serena and Lily.

Several pieces of very high-end audio, including an Onkyo 9.2 Channel Network Receiver and a Pioneer Elite receiver (which will be sold together, as they were part of the same home theatre system), which retailed for over $4000.  For reference, the Onkyo is model # TX-NR5008.  There will also be a bit of high-end vintage audio, including a pair of JBL speakers and a Yamaha receiver.

There is also a closet-full of mens clothing - mostly tailored garments, including bespoke jackets made on London's Savile Row, a couple of cashmere sport coats, tuxedo jackets by Dior and Armani, a bespoke tweed jacket from Master Tailors in Hong Kong,  a wonderful bespoke English tweed coat by legendary Manhattan tailor Steven Salen, and a wonderful deadstock 1960s Brooks Brothers white dinner jacket.  There's a wonderful 1950s LL Bean trapper coat with a faux-fur collar.  A bit of womens clothing, including a pair of Ferragamo flats worn only a couple of times.
