The sale will start at 8:30 am. The sign-up sheet will be posted on the front door. IF YOU SIGN THE SIGN-UP SHEET, YOU MUST STAY ON THE PREMISES. SHOULD YOU SIGN AND LEAVE, YOUR NAME IS REMOVED FROM THE LIST AND YOU WILL HAVE TO RE-SIGN UPON YOUR RETURN. You will be allowed to use your own sold stickers, but if you mark something sold, it is yours! Removing your sold sticker after marking an item sold is NOT allowed. Once you mark something sold, you are obligated to purchase it. It is your responsibility to have someone help you load your purchases. Our workers cannot help you so please do not ask them. We will have a worker to help you load larger pieces of furniture -BUT THEY WORK FOR TIPS! Please bring your own packing boxes.We have a few but may run out. ALL CHECKS MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING: Driver's License number, home, cell & work number. There will be a $50.00 fee for all returned checks and returned checks will have 5 days to make them good or they are turned over to the Bad Check Division, State of Alabama. We NOW OFFER VISA, MASTER CARD, DISCOVER CARD. All charges/debits are charged a 3% convenience fee (with no charges accepted on items totaling $25.00 or less). We are not responsible for accidents. There are NO EARLY SALES OR PREVIEWS! .ALL SALES ARE FINAL. Bids are accepted the first day on items priced $100.00 or more. Bids must be at least 60% of the asking price. We are not obligated to accept any bid offered if we feel the item being bid on warrants more - so leave a legitimate bid, based on the item you are bidding on. Bids will be opened at the end of the first day and winning bidder called by 7:00 that evening. We are not responsible for accidents. We are so pleased to be able to offer for sale the estate of Mr. George Olsson - who was well known in Montgomery for his art - his contribution to Alabama Shakespeare, Old Cloverdale Playhouse,  as well as being a designer of unique and unusual decorative art objects.  His home is unique to say the least - a home full of a wide selection of art, wonderful pottery, and an array of beautiful books, mid century furniture, etc. 

Just a small listing of items offered include a pair of mid century small loveseats; a pair of walnut china cabinets purchased in Japan in the 1950's; an iron fireplace mantle; several interesting tables  - some made with large pots with glass tops; antique brass bed; pair of Japanese "Tansu" chests - dating to 1890-1910; pair mid century tables with marble tops; antique oak humidor cabinet; mid century dresser with matching side table; small oak teacart; set of 4 mid century dining chairs; large collection of art including water colors; oils; woodblocks; by artists Kiyoshi Saito, Russell Everett, Gary Chapman, Greg Brown, Picasso, Mose T, Claude Grosperri, Kaoru Kawano, Kisako Yosheda,  to name a few.  Pottery includes both signed and unsigned, American Indian, Mexican, Asian; an unusual Walter (Troy, AL) glass figure; a huge soapstone bowl by Russell Everett; Murano art glass - among those being a wonderful glass Murano bull by designer Gino Cenedese; a beautiful dove figure on marble base by Cleo Hartwig, African figures, and masks, an antique iron fence piece suitable for using as a headboard, chandeliers, a Deco lamp, many textiles, set of Minton china, service for 8, decanters, crystal, sterling 4 piece tea set, pair of small sterling candelabra; wonderful books; a wonderful chess set made of ivory, lots of handmade iron decorative pieces; too much to list.

The outbuilding is also packed with books, lighting, pottery, tools, two large rugs, partially completed art projects; framed art, and small pieces of furniture.  Also in the garage area is a box of Corning Pyrex Boresilicate Glass Micro Column Condensers with 24/40 standard taper joints.  These are listed on the internet for as much as $179.00 each!  We have priced the entire box (which consists of approximately 12 - 15 of them for one price. The yard has several unusual iron 'yard art'  plus tables of miscellaneous decorative and kitchen items. 

This is definitely a sale you do not want to miss!  It isn't your usual sale - there is no traditional dining room furniture -  no sideboards or bedroom sets - just a sale full of the most unique and unusual items we have encountered in a long time.
