There will be holding tables for you to place your items on. When you have finished shopping, the employee will write your items up and you will bring your invoice to the check out counter to pay.
For any big items the clerk will write you up and mark your items sold. You will then bring the invoice with you to check out counter.
We will be collecting taxes on all items. If you have a tax number, we need a copy of it. We cannot just accept a number and it has to be an updated copy.
Numbers will be put out by front door at 8:30 a.m. and the door will be opened at 9:00 for you to enter. The second day of sale we will not have numbers. The door will be opened at 9:00 a.m.
Prices are marked on the items, and the Clerk will be happy to mark your items SOLD and write your invoice up. The Clerk will be in the room or standing close by. If it is for a large item, tell her what item you want and they will mark your item sold with your last name and write it up for you. You will not be allowed to mark your own . We feel that we have studied, cleaned items and priced them fairly, so don’t ask the Clerk if we will take less. This is not a YARD SALE! Also do not be making comments that items are to high or to low. That makes customers feel uneasy. If you think they are to high, then don’t buy them and put the item back where it was. If you have a question, please ask Betty Whatley. (owner) and I will be happy to answer your question.
Please bring someone to help you load, because we do not have anyone to load items. We do have someone to help you load small items, but we expect you to tip him, because he does not get paid. Bring the appropriate tools to take washer and dryer loose and refrigerator and equipment like this. If you need a large item delivered, I will be happy to give you a name for you to call to deliver your item.
We ARE NOT responsible for any accidents nor are the owners. You enter at your own risk. “Step Downs and Step UPS” will be marked so you will know to take your time. We do have a few bags, but we recommend that you bring your own boxes and bags. When those run out (which they usually do the first hour), then we don’t have anymore.
We have the right to refuse sale of items to any customer at any time.
Items have to be picked up by sale end on Saturday, unless other provisions have been made by Betty Whatley (Owner of estate sale).
Due to the large amount of items, value of them, we will have someone in regular clothing watching so be careful before you steal, because you will be arrested. Cameras are also in the home.
Do Not Block Anyone’s Drive or Mailbox , or you will be asked to move or either towed.
We are not Responsible for any accidents. You enter at your own risk.
We take bids on items 100.00 or more. You must bid 60% of full price + 1.00. The second day of sale items will be marked 40% off, except jewelry it will be full price.

We are so happy to be having a moving/downsizing sale for the late Dr. John Allen Jones’ wife. This is a fast sale, due to her home was sold in one day and the new owners are moving in next week. There are so many items including art work, collectibles from all over the world. Dr. Jones loved to read, so a lot of great books on different subjects. They both loved outdoor activities and loved their plants and yard, as you will see from the many plants, flower pots, and yard decorations like a beautiful metal bench, yard tools, gorgeous statue with a boy and girl with umbrella. They both loved children, as well as their sweet grandchildren, so there were a lot of games, dolls , children’s books. Mrs. Jones loved pretty Vintage clothing as well as other clothes, purses, and shoes. There will be several pieces of each. Yes record collectors, there are several great ones by the Beetles, and other great artists from the 60’s through the early 20’s. Dr. Jones also loved to hunt and fish, so there will be several pieces of tackle. There are several great pieces of furniture, some in great condition and some that need new upholstery and some that you could paint if you wanted. A lot of white wicker, a great roll top desk that belonged to the older Dr. John Allen Jones, a covered headboard with mattress, box springs, trundle bed, several great chairs, brown leather couch, small pool table, VCR, flat screen T.V., radio, great speakers, handmade items from all over the world, several pieces of luggage. Dr. Jones and Mrs. Jones both loved to entertain and cook, so there are plenty of dishes, linens, silver, candles and other items for that. They both loved having things such as wedding parties and other things for young people, so you will see some beautiful table cloths, napkins, and glassware, sterling and silver plate. They loved Christmas, so there will be several Christmas items. Also some great quilts.
As I mentioned, this is a fast sale, but you will certainly find some great items for gifts, for your friends, collectible items, great art and some very unusual items you will not find anywhere else. I am so happy to be a patient, great friend of this family and am so happy that the family asked me to do it for them. If you were a patient of Dr. Jones ( as I was lucky to have been) or a friend of the family, then this is a great chance to have something that belonged to them.
