ENTRY TO THE SALE: A sign-up sheet will be posted on the front door the morning of the sale. Please sign ONLY your name. Once you sign the sign up sheet, you have to stay on the property. You cannot sign the list and leave - your name will be removed from the list and you will have to re-sign upon your return.
BAGS: You are allowed to bring large bags into the sale but they are subject to inspection upon your leaving the sale.
BIDS: We have bid sheets available at the cashier's tables. Bids are accepted on items priced $100.00 or more. Items cannot be lumped together to add up to the $100.00. Your bid must be at least 60% of the asking price. Once you have filled our your bid sheet, please take it to one of the cashiers. I will open bids at 4:30 and call the highest bidder. Should I not reach you and have to leave you a message, please return my call indicating to me that you did get my message. PLEASE NOTE: Do not place a bid unless you are prepared to follow through in purchasing the item on which you have placed a bid. Failure to follow through will result in my not accepting future bids from you.
PURCHASING AN ITEM: Each of my workers have a "worker's sheet" on which they can write up large items that you wish to purchase. Only large items are written up - (as in furniture, paintings, lamps, items that are too large to place in your bags). We do not write up small, pick up items as they have to be written up again by our cashiers. Once the worker writes up your purchase, they will give you that sheet and additional items can be recorded on it by other workers in other areas of the house. Once you have finished shopping, take it along with smaller items in your bags, to the cashiers and your total purchase will be written up.
SOLD STICKERS: You are allowed to use your own sold stickers but they must have your name and phone number on them. Once you have placed a sold sticker on an item, it is yours. You are not to removed your sold sticker once you have placed it on an item. You are causing someone else who might have come to purchase that item from purchasing it.
PURCHASING STERLING, JEWELRY AND GOOD ART: We do not discount any of those items on the second day for more than 10% of the asking price. When purchasig the smaller items, (sterling and jewelry), the worker will write up your purchase, give you the write up sheet and keep the jewelry and sterling until you return with a paid receipt, at which time you can pick up your purchases.
LIABILITY: The home owner nor Linda Shogren Estate Sales is responsible for accidents. You accept all responsibility upon entering the home and areas surrounding the home.
SALE HOURS: Our sale hours are: Monday, 8:30 - 4:30 and Tuesday, 8:30 - 1:00. We give out entry numbers at 8:00 on Monday but no intry numbers will be given out on Tuesday. A sign up sheet will be posted Tuesday and that sheet will determine the order of entry to the sale.
CONDITION OF MERCHANDISE: We try to examine every item in the sale to make sure the items are in good condition with no damage but we may occassionally overlook something. It is your responsibility to look over every item you purchase to make sure there are no chips, cracks or missing parts. We do not give refunds for any reason.
CHARGE CARDS: We accept all major credit and debit cards. There is a 3 1/2 percent charge for the use of the credit card.

This is going to be a great sale - a fun sale - with so many different styles/periods of furniture, beautiful smalls, antique rugs, and PART TWO of the wonderful Christmas offerings like we had at our last sale - although - these items are all new- were not shown at the last sale. This sale will feature, along with beautiful ornaments, greenery/'pics, etc a huge assortment of wonderful and unique "dolls' by well known designers Mark Roberts, Wayne Kleski, Katherines Collections to name a few. We have devoted two rooms upstairs to show all of these wonderful pieces.
We also wlll have a wonderful collection of outdoor patio and yard increments - beautiful iron benches, arbors, concrete, planters, patio table and chairs as well as patio seating arrangements. There is a wonderful iron and marble top console table. Just too much to list each item!
Inside we will have the following in furniture:
Dining room table, set of 6 beautiful Chippendale chairs, several servers and sideboard, a pair of sofas, chests, pairs of chairs, oak lowboy, several drop leaf tables, nest tables, coffee tables, king bed, large mahogany bedroom chest/dresser, antique armoire, early Empire dresser (was from Chantilly that burned) antique oak chest, a fabulous oak child's desk with a swivel oak pressed back chair - the desk top lifts to show a blackboard- unique and my favorite piece in the entire sale!); two secetaries; early carved fern stand; mahogany dining table (in the garage); mahogany china cabinet; oak draw table; two outstanding settees; very nice game table with 4 chairs (new); Windsor rocker, early mahogany sewing table (needs a little veneer work), miscellaneous small tables, etc.
The garage, along with holding furniture, also has a "tool" room with a generator, chest freezer, shop vac, weed eater, a few yard tools, a few small tools, vacuum cleaners, table and floor fans, ladders, lots of miscellaneous.
Speciality items include three vintage clarinets in their cases, a very nice guitar (Finland); two violins in their cases; a great assortment of records (no opera, etc), wonderful books including local subjects, military, art books and a huge collection of very nice children's books.
Decorative Items include: a large and good assortment of engravings, signed art (more about those in an update), oriental rugs - one large rug that measures 12' 11" by 20' 2" - its a beautiful antique rug that belonged to the family when they lived on S. Perry; lamps, mirrors, china, Waterford crystal, Fabrege crystal wine goblets; cut glass; beautiful cut glass punch bowl; a large selection of decorative aluminium serving ware; am amtique Victorian biscuit jar; sterling base bud vases; a nice selection of sun dials in brass, iron, and bronze; Tiffany small vases, Galle small vase (all signed), the usual collection of glass and crystal platters, bowls and vases, much more.
Linens include new, never used king size sheets, new, never used towels; beautiful fur throws; some tablecloths; decorative pillows.
Kitchen: there is enough kitchen items for three sales! We have brand new, taken out of the box, pyrex sets, cookware, cookie sheets, electric appliances, serving pieces - just too much to list.
General Household: There is a washer (LG) and a Dryer (Samsung)- also we have a second set- washer and dryer that is available. There is a mini refrigerator, iron, etc.
Clothing: Women's clothing and shoes - beautiful purses including name brand - clothes range in the size 8-12 size and shoes are sizes 7-8, depending on the style and make. There is a man's leather jacket and a mans NorthFace jacket and a couple pair of men's shoes.
Rounding out the sale will include perfume bottles, a great selection of "beach" art, antique wooden dough bowls, baskets, a nice selection of vintage brass curtain tie backs; much more!
The two things this sale did not have was sterling and costume jewelry! But the next two sales will have a lot of both!
