MONDAY NIGHT: As announced this morning, SHOULD the weather end up being unsafe for travel tomorrow, we would plan on re-scheduling the second day of our sale for later in the week. HOWEVER, we are going to go forward as usual tomorrow. We are confident the bad weather will not set in until sometime in the afternoon tomorrow. HOWEVER, WE WILL OPEN AT 8:30 TUESDAY MORNING AND WILL CLOSE THE SALE AT 11:00. Anyone planning on picking up furniture should come between 9:30 and 11:00 in order to get your items and also so that our movers can aid you in loading your pieces.
Sunday, January 26: I have just added pictures of the antique advertising signs - all old! Also some of the vintage linens. This is a great sale - lots of interest and we hope to see you there!
Sunday, Jan. 19: Just added almost 50 pictures of costume jewelry - most pieces signed. Tuesday, January 21 - just added MORE pictures - check them out! Wednesday, Jan. 22 - just added MORE pictures !
We are actively working on this sale and it is going to be a wonderful sale - (more pictures have just been added!) complete with antiques, old toys, vintage Christmas; Civil War memorabilia: Saddle from American Civil War Artillery valise saddle with paperwork, uniform is Indian war and from the 71st New York regiment, a Bannerman sword from late 1800's, home spun linenblankets from Civil War era, Civil war prints, a pencil drawing of Robert E. Lee from the Museum of the Confederacy, two rifle crates from the Civil War, plus other miscellaneous items; nice collection of old baskets (some Indian); several antique wall and mantle clocks; a beautiful early grandfather clock; vintage Face Jugs from North Carolina artist, Burlon B Craig; wonderful old lamps; nice linens; a large collection of kitchen collectibles including tins, etc; good books; art glass; set of Lenox "Autumn" china, service for 8 with serving pieces; silverplate; antique linens; 60" Visio flatscreen TV on base; costume jewelry; just too much to list. This sale is in an early 1900's home in Union Springs, Alabama.
Some of the furniture includes curved glass curio cabinet; oak servers (several); oak display cabinets; store cabinets; Victorian sofa, love seat and chairs; pair of nice recliners; a fainting sofa in excellent condition; Eastlake parlor set; outstanding and large oak bookcase (great for Courthouse, attorney's office, etc.); English wash stand with tile backsplash; Victorian marble top table; outstanding oak hall tree; early pine blanket chest with dovetailing; large new iron bed frame (mattress/box spring not available) in iron; English wardrobe; oak wardrobe;antique walnut Victorian bed; nice country harvest table; pair of leather reclining chairs with cup holder; Empire chest; empire game tables; miscellaneous small pieces of furniture; nice large oak dining table w/leaves; two sets of oak dining chairs;tons of Christmas; nice freezer; old tins; iron fireplace covers; statuary; at least 8 pieces of antique iron fencing - each measuring 8 feet long; much more.
ALSO included in the sale is a like new storage building - size 10' by 24' - already equiped with electricity - two windows on the front with large door - one side has a roll up garage door opening - for storing golf carts, riding lawnmowers, etc. The building is in excellent condition - BIDS will be taken on this building - and of course, you are responsible for removing it from the property.
