The estate sale of Patsy White Penney, now living in Houston, TX, and the late Ned Penney. Patsy grew up in Elaine, AR, attended Hendrix College and graduated from Arkansas State in math. They met at ASU . At the time of Ned's death in 1996, they had been married 47 years. They had 2 children, the late Ned Jr. and Cecilia.
Ned served in the Army in WWII and was recalled to serve during the Korean War. Patsy taught in both Marked Tree and Helena while Ned was a band director and principal in Marked Tree and Helena. Upon retirement they moved to Jonesboro. Ned was known as a Lion's Club member and choir director at Marked Tree and Helena Methodist churches. Patsy was known for her genealogical expertise. She was an active member of the DAR, the Jamestown Society, the First United Methodist Church of Jonesboro and PEO.
