this is the last day to get to see many of these fabulous items that were gifts from foreign heads of state when Edwin Jackson Kyle was Ambassador to Guatemala!!!!!

This is a lovely home!!  one of the homeowner's was a published author, publishing many textbooks used in the Little Rock School district, as well as a well known history professor at UALR. One homeowner was a respected Attorney, and then there is the foreign diplomat grandfather.   There are many nice things from living in Japan,  to many other worldly treasures.

Specifically, the grandparent of one of the homeowner's was Mr.  Edwin Jackson Kyle, Ambassador to Guatamalla under President Franklin D. Roosevelt  his wife was Alice Meyers Kyle. Additionally, Mr. Kyle was also Dean of Agriculture  and director of athletics and Texas A & M for many years, and the impressive Kyle stadium at Texas A&M  is named for him!  According to the stories on the internet, he built the Texas A & M, both agriculturally and in sports.  And, additionally he was awarded an honorary doctorate in Agriculture from University of Arkansas at Fayeteville.

What an opportunity to see the international treasures, from the Ambassador, and the homeowners time in Japan,  as well as many, many special books on  Arkansas History. ANd treasures from this very accomplished family!!

****Another note the father of this homeowner, (also An TEXAS A & M graduate)  was an architect and designed the Memphis, Tennessee airport…….we have several of his painted sketches……and Minister Richard Hunter (Methodist Minister in Little R ock)was father-in-law to one of  his great granddaughters
