Estate sale in Searcy

Saturday 1/12 update: This house belonged to collectors who recognized quality but also appreciated whimsy. There is a large collection of HO model train cars, as well as Revell airplane models and die-cast cars new in boxes.There are at least 30 vintage Breyer horses from the 1980s, gently used but in their original boxes. He was a government employee and history researcher, so there is a library packed with books, including a complete set of Harvard Classics and a Cyclopedia set from the late 1800s. She was a seamstress and cross-stitch hobbyist, so there is a craft room full of kits, thread, supplies and finished samplers. There is a large collection of contemporary fiction books, DVDs. There are antique pitchers, butter crocks and a grouping of signed Jerry Brown (Alabama potter) pieces. As for furniture, there are no beds or dressers, but there are tables, desks, an antique ice box, and a kitchen corner booth. Most of the furniture is solid wood, from two claw-foot pedestal round tables to a kidney-shaped vanity table. Because we have more items that we can display at one time, we are selling indoor items the first weekend, and outdoor items the second weekend. Photos will be updated regularly, so check back often.
