Description & Details
This is the estate of the late Treccie Lammers Cook, a retired associate pastor at First United Methodist Church and a lifelong community volunteer. She appreciated fine antiques, original art and art prints, crystal, cut glass, porcelain, Depression glass, and there is an abundance of all of these in her home. There are carved Victorian chairs and settees, storage chests and tables, side tables, coffee tables and a casual dining room set with six wooden upholstered chairs. There are two rocker/recliners, a formal cream-colored sofa, a leather lift chair, a stunning vintage Bassett bedroom suite, and two glass-top round kitchen tables, one with a bamboo base. The most important appraised antique is a dining room table and set of four pink upholstered chairs that came from the family of Civil War Gen. John C. Pemberton of Virginia. Mrs. Cook also treasured English bone china, porcelain, pottery, angels, antique lamps, nativity scenes, crosses and books of faith and Christianity. A fully equipped study features a desk, tall bookcase, computer and loveseat with a sassy turquoise floral print. In the kitchen are pots and pans, casual and fine china, kitchen electrics including fondue pot, toaster oven and waffle-makers. The entire two-car garage is devoted to Christmas and holiday decorating, from lighted artificial trees of all sizes to vintage and antique Santas and hand-made ornaments. There is a magnificent Bernina 1130 computerized sewing machine in a wooden cabinet. There are many, many things to sell, so don't be surprised if we extend the event to a second weekend. We will accept bids throughout the sale and have some items marketed on eBay. Presented by two estate sellers: V Smith Estate Sales and Wakefield Estate Sales.
