Description & Details
Large, multi-weekend sale in Searcy. The client is downsizing from a four-bedroom home, and the volume is larger than we have ever seen. She catered, created themed dinner parties, hosted large family gatherings and owned a cupcake business, so there is cookware of all kinds, some still new in boxes, as well as specialty items like cupcake carriers and displays, Pampered Chef, Le Creuset and serving platters for any occasion. There are hundreds of cookie cutters, both metal and plastic. There is a pristine set of blue Pyrex nesting bowls, a bin full of Tupperware, at least 8 sets of dishes, from casual to formal, to serve 8 to 12. There are two rooms full of Christmas decorations, including five pencil trees, two large lighted trees, two nativity scenes and a dozen wreaths. Furniture for sale includes two King beds and two Queen Anne chests, a secretary desk, a Paula Deen farmhouse-style china cabinet, a lighted display case, a leather chair, a wooden pedestal kitchen table and chairs, and a mid-century modern vintage Lane cedar chest. There is an impressive collection of Precious Moments figurines from the 1980s and 1990s. Despite the number of items, which included a packed garage and tool closet, we have to start the sale somewhere, so the first weekend of the sale will feature women's winter coats, Fall, Halloween and Christmas decor, rubber stamping (Stampourri, Stampin' Up) supplies, cookware and bakeware, and Chico's jewelry. The second weekend (date to be determined) will feature tools, the rest of the jewelry, table linens, a bunny collection, more (and different) cookbooks, useful household items, Chico's clothing, spring and summer decorating items, and a patio bistro set. Both weekends will require crowd control in the house, but we'll try to set up tables outside on the patio to hold the overflowing merchandise. We'll update photos as the date nears.
