Estate Sale in Searcy

This event will be held in the custom River Oaks home of the late Evelyn Curtis, who owned and operated Curtis Kindergarten in Searcy for many years. The house is full of high-quality furnishings -- sofas, upholstered chairs, desks, original art, decorator items and a dining room table with 8 chairs. Mrs. Curtis decorated the school for every holiday, and entertained regularly, so there is an abundance of holiday dishes, crystal, pewter, serving pieces, brass and silverplate. Much of the second floor will be devoted  to Christmas, with themed trees, greenery, Hallmark ornaments, Santas, snowmen and more. There is a playroom with vintage Fisher Price toys, games, children's books and teaching materials. Out back is wrought iron patio furniture, and in front is a vintage wicker set. The three composite class photos from Curtis Kindergarten will be sold to the highest bidder in a silent auction; bid sheets will be posted on the wall during the sale. Due to the volume, we may add a second weekend to get it all sold.
