This will be the estate sale of the year, and this will be an estate sale everyone will talk about... This home is filled top to bottom with only the finest items and collectibles, and collections of a lifetime all gathered by an extremely prominent Paradise Valley family. We will have fine art pieces here for sale, including Dan Namingha signed print, antique European engravings, in-plate drawing and colorized prints, tons of original art by local artists, original Native American sand paintings to start...
Almost every piece of furniture here is either antique or mid-century, and has been carefully taken care of and serviced/maintained for years... We have some appraisals on the most extravagant chests from 1800s, such as the French early 1800s Armoire in the Master closet. The Belgian armoire right by the entrance shows such a magnificent handsmanship, a true statement to steel and solid wood used and assembled by hand in the early 1800s in Europe. This household will also present a number of Stickley beds for sale... We have a vintage and antique vanity chests and armoires, as well as mirrors dating to late 1700s and early 1800s... The rug selection is absolutely stunning as many of the rugs are handmade persian rugs, and runners, and we will also be selling a few Native American rugs - although these have also been handmade.
The kitchen pieces are absolutely outstanding where you will be able to find hand blown bowls - as a set of mixing bowls that is, kitchen pots and pans, cast iron vintage pans, sets of plate from Williams Sonoma and Sur La Table, as well as tons of accessories from these stores. The colors used in decorating the kitchen and even the simplest every day use items are orange, green and red, with some accents of white.
The boat we have for sale here is circa 1992, 21ft long Rager fishing boat and it is available for sale prior to the days of the sale, if you wish to inquire.
There is plenty of Native American vintage jewelry for sale here, including sterling Zuni necklaces, signed Sterling and turquoise as well as Sterling and coral pieces, with matching earrings, and rings. The selection of gold jewelry is here as well, with 18k gold and emerald fish brooch, 14k gold necklace, a 14k gold ring, and more. There are Zuni and Navajo vintage artist signed necklaces, rings and earrings. We will also have a small selection of vintage costume jewelry.
Please note that one of the closets consists almost completely of only cashmere sweaters, silk blouses and multiple Giorgio Armani women's sport jackets and other Armani and Escada outfits. Most are in size Medium, but there are a few small and large ones too. We will have multiple Paloma shoes, designer boots, Salvatore Ferragamo and Bottega Veneta. We have some Whiting and Sands vintage purses and handbags, as well as small selection of Vera Bradley, Kate Spade, Coach and also vintage leather luggage. Sweatshirts and sweaters from Land's End are everywhere, as well as Land's End pants and skirts, and even some Lululemon sportswear. Please note we do have some amazing vintage and antique quilts and handmade blankets for sale too.
One of the rooms is dedicated to just fishing as the family was proud to display the almost 12 ft long Blue Marlin they caught and which is available for sale upstairs as the taxidermy on mount. We do have boxes and boxes of different professional lures, but also fishing rods, and a very professional fishing reel for sale here.
We are going to be selling a lot of European toys, plush toys and wooden toys from Scandinavia. We will have tons and tons of items by brands such as Steiff, Kay Bojesen, first edition mid century and antique dolls and toys (some purchased at auctions from Sotheby's etc), Brio toys, Thierrault bears and toys among other brands. The selection of books and first edition books here is absolutely impressive and please note there will be some valuable European and first edition US children's books for sale here as well as many, many artbooks...
We could truly talk about the amazing items for sale here, such as decorations for Christmas, all custom made or bought at Nordstrom's or hand blown European Christmas ornaments and more.. There is so much sterling for sale here too! We will be selling a complete tea and coffee service set, as well as sterling flatware set, numerous serving pieces, sterling weighted shakers, pitchers, platters...
